I have always said that slime is more than a toy. Not just for kids, it delivers pure joy, enables escape, calm, connection. Itâs a time to get off the screen, find your inner 7-year-old and simply play. There is a reason kids are obsessed - itâs because it genuinely does something amazing to the brain. In partnership with GOODQUES, Sloomoo Institute conducted a research study on the topic of the epidemic of loneliness and what slime does for the mind. We shared the results at the Fast Company Innovation Festival and found⦠Over 75% of employees felt that playing with slime has a positive impact on their workday, with 73% reporting it increased their sense of communication or connectivity with their peers. Our study reveals that just by introducing slime as a playful tool in the office, employees reported: 65% more relaxation through the work day 58% more creativity 57% more productivity Employers and employees... IT'S TIME TO SLIME!! Thank you to everyone who made this study possible!

One week ago today....we're still reveling from celebrating 10 years of Fast Company's Innovation Festival. This yearâs event served as a celebration of sustained innovation and featured the magazineâs selection of the 10 most innovative people of the last decade â Issa Rae, Ryan Reynolds, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sara Nelson, Pat McGrath, José Andrés, Satya Nadella, Jennifer Doudna, Lina Khan, and Ted Sarandos. These leaders and doers left festivalgoers with many provocative ideas to ponder regarding pressing issues that range from sustainability to AI to the upcoming U.S. presidential election. In a first for NYU Langone Health, three of our leaders were selected to present at Fast Companyâs Innovation Festival last month, sharing how our work is shaking up the healthcare industry.  The Innovation Festival is all about bringing together innovative minds for inspiring chats, meaningful networking, and hands-on workshops. Our presenters included:  ⢠Dr. Paul Glimcher, chair of the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, talked about how our brains work and how understanding this can help us make better decisions. He reminded everyone, âBe aware that your decision-making processes change across your lifespan. This means fine-tuning it at every point in your life to your greatest strengths.â ⢠Dr. JR Rizzo, our system director of Disability Inclusion, joined a panel focused on healthcare innovation and the importance of a more inclusive world. He highlighted a pressing issue, saying, âWeâre riddled with access barriers at this point. The future of healthcare must be accessible and universally designed.â ⢠Elizabeth Golden, our executive vice president for Communications, Marketing, and Government and Community Affairs, participated in a lively discussion about how new technologies and multichannel strategies can help us stand out in a crowded market. She shared her insights, stating, âWhen we think about breaking through and communicating in the best way, itâs about making healthcare more approachable and meeting people where they are on their journey.â  It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our commitment to innovation and inclusion in healthcare!

Award-Winning Design & Foresight Leader | 2024 Innovator of the Year | Design-Led Business Strategy | Keynote Speaker | Board Member | Former Founder & Executive Consultant
Like many of you, I often find myself in environments that feel disconnected from my values. Working in a traditional corporate environment can be isolating for an innovator, especially when my creative approach doesnât always resonate with my colleagues. Insurance, and other traditional corporate environments, need creativity, but creatives need community. Fast Company Events attract the type of professionals I most admireâthose that navigate complexity and still manage to create remarkable thingsâpeople who are just as curious and motivated as I am. The first time I went to their annual Innovation Festival, it was to accept an award alongside Gwen Olson for our work at American Family Insurance. I was touched by the deep connection I felt to the community that gathered. Since then, the Innovation Festival is one of my favorite ways to connect with others who adapt, innovate, and redefine possibilities in real-time. This year, I related to inspiring leaders like John Mackey, Jennifer Storms, Natalie Nixon, PhD, David Cooperrider, Lydia Fenet, Kanene Ayo Holder, LINUS KARLSSON, Elyse Cohen, Kim Rittberg ð, Paul Rice, and many more who challenged and motivated me. Their stories reinforced the power of curiosity, creativity, and conscious capitalism in our changing world. Attending this event filled my cup and expanded my network. Defying conventional approaches and creating innovative solutions to complex challenges is easier in community. So, to my fellow creatives: surround yourself with the right people, embrace your uniqueness, and rememberâitâs our shared journey that makes a better future possible. #FCFestival #FCIF10 #Community

AI Consultant | Brand Safety & Digital Safety Advisor | FutureFixer | Data is DNAÂ®ï¸ featured at Fast Companyâs Innovation Festival
I didnât give yet another AI talk. I instead started the #AntiVeryDemure movement lol #AI doesnât have to be doom and gloom and discussions about #ResponsibleAI and #InclusiveAI donât have to be a bore and snore either. Instead at Fast Company Eventsâs 10th annual Innovation Festival, I understood the assignment. Infinite gratitude to Fast Company for convening so many thought leaders and mavericks! Congrats 𥳠on 10 years of inspiration and information to co-create a better future! There are so many people at FC I will thank in the coming days for their attention to detail and attention to JOY! After days of mingling, when it was time to unleash my character ReBLACKaForTheBLACKsâï¸ð¸ð¤©ð¦ and share her journey âinto the AIâ lol ð, it was a lot to pull off. Props, music cues, and the SHOCK of surprising the audience. With all the antics, my message of advocating for more inclusive AI and more empathic leaders open to change datasets and their attachment to bureaucracy could have been lost. But despite all the colors and calamity there was a clarity that emerged and a message that motivated the audience! My session âTech Tools and Soft Skillsâ was ultimately about our ability to activate agency and be agile. https://lnkd.in/eJ8HBqmx How? Because Fast Companyâs team was flexible, excited and collaborative. This is the vision for a version of GenAI that is more inclusive. We will have to commit to a beautiful vision and do whatever it takes to make it a reality! Thank you Jessica Bursztynsky Megan Harding and Gina Imperato for their flexibility and grace! And to Kc Ifeanyi, my heart is bursting with love for the opportunity and also the courage to say YES! To me, innovation is powered by instincts and it was an immense honor to share my creativity and AI research! Instead of being a gatekeeper, Kc is a bridge to a savory unknown if we are willing to SEE anew. Check out some behind the scenes pics and highlights! Letâs build momentum for this movement to reclaim AI! #FutureFixer #FCIF10 #FCFestival #FutureOfWork #GenAI #DataIsDNA #artificialintelligence #authenticity #innovation #joy #CorporateComedian
