#CodingStruggles #TechJourney #DeveloperLife Hey everyone! 🙋♂️ I just went through an experience that I’m sure many of you can relate to. I decided to tackle a project that I initially thought was pretty simple. I breezed through the front end and felt like I was on top of the world… until I hit the wall with the back end. 😩 After pouring in long hours for about 3 days, I came to the realization that I was way over my head. 🤦♂️ The backend just wouldn’t cooperate, and despite my best efforts, I found myself spinning my wheels with no way to get it to work. Finally, I made the tough decision to throw in the towel. Feeling defeated doesn’t even begin to cover it. 😢 Has anyone here had a similar experience where a project turned out to be much more complicated than you anticipated? Let’s be real—it can be pretty discouraging when that happens! Here’s what I think about facing this kind of challenge: **Learning Curve**: Sometimes we just need to accept that there’s a steep learning ... Have You Ever Bitten Off More Than You Can Code? #WorkplaceFrustration #SalaryIssues #JobSatisfaction #TechIndustry Hey everyone! 🌟 I wanted to share something that’s been on my mind and see if anyone else has experienced a similar situation. I have a coworker who, honestly, makes more money than I do—and it’s really frustrating. Let me break it down for you: Background Differences: I have a bachelor's degree in IT and several certifications. On the other hand, my coworker has no formal education in tech and was hired as a level 2. Training and Teaching: More often than not, I find myself teaching him how to do tasks. It feels like I have to pause my work just to help him catch up, which is draining and a bit disheartening. The Salary Gap: Knowing that I'm underpaid compared to someone who seems less qualified doesn’t sit well with me. I can’t help but wonder if he got his job through connections (maybe a “nepo hire”?). I initially thought waiting for my six-month mark before applying elsewhere would be a good strategy, especi... Feeling Undervalued at Work: How to Handle Coworker Pay Gaps? #Networking #StartupIdeas #Meetpreneur #ConnectionGoals Hey everyone, So here’s the thing—I’m really starting to feel OVER networking. 😩 I know it’s supposed to be essential for any business, but honestly? It feels so forced sometimes! The typical conversations are repetitive and draining. How many times can we go through the same old script? 🙄 “What do you do?” “How'd you get into that?” I could probably recite those answers in my sleep at this point! 😅 And let’s get real—after attending a bunch of these events, I end up with a pile of “connections” I’ll never talk to again. I can hardly remember who does what anymore. It just seems like such a massive time investment: getting dressed up, commuting, being there for a few hours, and then driving back! 😩  What if we flipped the script? What if networking was as quick and engaging as speed dating? No awkward chit-chat required—just a fun way to meet people! Imagine hopping between different folks, and if there’s no... #InternshipStruggles #JobHunting #CareerAdvice Hey everyone! 🌟 I just got another rejection email, and honestly, it’s hitting hard. I mean, how many more of these can I really take? As a college student on the hunt for an internship, I’ve been through a whirlwind of interviews, only to be met with “thank you, but no thanks.” 😔 It’s so frustrating when you feel you rocked the interview, yet nothing seems to come of it. Here are a few things I’ve been feeling: Overwhelmed: With about 200 applications submitted, it’s like I’m casting a wide net but still not catching anything. Self-Doubt: I can't shake off this feeling of inadequacy. With just one internship on my resume and not many connections, the competition feels fierce. Fear of the Future: Honestly, I’m starting to worry about what this means for my job search after graduation. 😟 I know rejection is part of the game, but it feels heavy right now. It’s tough when the effort doesn’t seem to lead anywhere, and it’s easy to lose ste... How Can I Overcome Constant Internship Rejections and Succeed? Answers: https://lnkd.in/gKF5eGVu

#JobMarketStruggles #CareerChoices #FightTheSystem Hey everyone! 🌟 I wanted to chat about a feeling that’s been weighing heavily on my mind lately—the frustration with the job market and how it seems like so many of us are getting lowballed after putting in years of hard work and money into our education. It’s like we’re being told that our qualifications and valuable skills aren’t enough to get a fair paycheck. Here’s what I’ve been experiencing: Burnout Before Graduation: I worked two jobs while earning my degree, only to find out that once I graduated, companies seemed eager to offer me less money than I was already making as a server. 🤯 Unique Skill Set: With my fluency in Japanese and my international business degree, I thought I’d be a hot commodity in the job market. But the offers? They felt like a slap in the face. For instance, one company said my language skills made them interested in me yet still offered me $24 an hour for long shifts. #ToxicWorkplace #BossProblems #CoworkerDrama #CareerChange Have you ever left a job because of toxic bosses or difficult coworkers? We all have those breaking points, right? 😤 For me, it was all about micromanaging and coworkers who constantly brown-nosed on the side. When I tried to bring it up with my boss, she brushed off my feelings, saying, “too bad! You’re new, just let them help you.” Seriously?! That didn’t sit well with me at all. Fast forward six months, I packed my bags and handed her my resignation, and let’s just say, she was *not* happy about it! 😂 There are so many reasons why these experiences happen in the workplace: Micromanaging: This often stems from a lack of trust. When bosses feel insecure, they tend to hover, which can make you feel suffocated and undervalued. Brown-nosing: This creates a competitive and hostile environment. It makes teamwork challenging, as people aren’t collaborating; instead, they’re trying to one-up each other for attention. Lack... What Made You Quit a Job with Toxic Coworkers or Bosses? #CareerChange #ArtVsStability #CreativeCareer #Tattooing #Cosmetology Hey everyone! 🌟 I’m 31 and I feel like I’m in a bit of a whirlwind right now. My work history has mainly been in the service industry since I was 17, and I'm currently bartending. Before this, I spent two years as an event manager, but let’s just say that wasn’t my cup of tea. Here’s the scoop: I got my cosmetology license before the pandemic and worked in a salon for a year. After moving out of state, I took the first job that came my way (event management), which turned out to be a poor fit. Now, I’m at a crossroads and ready for a change, but I’m feeling a bit lost. 😕 Here’s where things get tricky. I’m considering returning to the salon world, but I’ve also developed an interest in tattooing. My chats with local tattoo artists, however, have left me nervous. With the recession affecting their earnings, I’m worried about financial instability—I'm tired of living paycheck to paycheck! 💸 I’m currently fin...
