Your supposed the be the strong one

You the owner of your company and the one everyone looks to for guidance, motivation and a sense of direction. But what happens in a time like this when you are just as scared as everyone else?

We are in a time now that has just not happened to any of us before and let's be honest, it's scary. No one knows exactly what is going on or what the future may look like especially for small businesses like ours.

The people in our company and all others have families they support, bills and obligations that everyone has to meet, as an owner we certainly feel a need to support the people who work so hard for us each and every day.

But when you as an owner or manager have to get up, put your game face on and act like it will all be ok even when we have really no idea.

So what are we supposed to do to lower stress and not let this eat us alive?

One thing is to talk about it, do not keep it inside and have the voices play it over and over again, fins someone, find anyone to talk to. Whether that is your spouse, friend, family or therapist, it is so important to talk about it.

Know it is perfectly fine to be afraid and people can know you are and it does not lessen your authority, man or womanhood.

Take a break throughout the day, breath, stretch, exercise if your able to , go for a walk, eat right, drink lots of water.

I get it your the boss and your supposed to be the strong one, but sharing your feelings with others actually will make you even stronger and be looked up to be your peers and employees, people don't want a lot of bs, they want and respect people who are real

One great tip is to practice gratitude, one of the best emotions that can help reduce anxiety and stress is gratitude, what are you grateful for? What has been a plus to all of this for you?

One thing for me has been to be able to go through all of our processes and streamline many things in hopes it makes us even better when we all come out of this and get back outside.

Spending time with your loved ones a lot more than being at the office each and every waking minute looking at the same things day in and out, we have all been very lucky to get this close time with each other.

As an owner you have many stresses, demands, questions coming at you each and every day but to know you also have the right to be afraid, sad, nervous, scared or any other emotion that everyone has is powerful, don't keep them to yourself, it will not make you less of a leader
