5 reasons why an organisation should sign up for the Thrive at Work programme:

  1. Benefits as an organisation:

Along with creating a healthier and happier workforce, leading to a positive impact on the bottom line. Organisations will reduce sickness absence, improve retention, increase resilience and productivity.

  1. No Cost to you:

This programme is funded through the Mental Health and Productivity Programme (MHPP) and WMCA, making it free for those based in the Midlands region.

  1. It’s Flexible:

Organisations can work at their own pace starting at Foundation level and then working through the framework to bronze accreditation. They can implement the criteria according to their own needs and resources.

  1. 1-2-1 support:

Our Thrive at Work team is available to offer support and answer any queries. Additionally, our extensive online toolkit and relevant wellbeing resources are available to guide you through the implementation process.

  1. Accreditation benefits:

Achieving the Thrive at Work accreditation of at least the bronze level will set you apart as an employer of choice when it comes to mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. It recognises your achievement and commitment to your staff and potential staff, along with your clients/customers. It also gives reassurance that the organisation has benchmarked itself against an evidence-based accreditation award.

There are several strategies Thrive at Work use to involve workplaces in health and wellbeing initiatives:

Use of Social Media: Sharing research studies and statistics that demonstrate the benefits of workplace health and wellbeing initiatives. Providing evidence can help to convince workplaces that it is worth investing time and resources into Thrive at Work. We also celebrate the success of all organisations through social media that have achieved all levels of the Thrive at Work programme.

We make it easy to get started: We have a website where organisations can sign up, and we ask for limited information. Making it easy for workplaces to get started on health and wellbeing initiatives.

Build partnerships with stakeholders: Partnering with local organisations and other groups to promote Thrive at Work programme helps us spread the word. These partnerships can help to increase awareness and provide resources and support to workplaces as they are the ones that are working with local businesses directly.

We provide training and education: We offer webinars that are educational to workplaces on topics related to health and wellbeing. For example, offer workshops on stress management, cost of living crisis, and menopause in the workplace. Along with this, we offer training, 1-2-1 support and guidance from our CIPD-qualified accreditation team.

Encourage senior leadership support: Encourage workplace leaders as of the likes of Directors and Business owners, to champion Thrive at Work in their workplace and play a critical role in promoting and supporting the initiative. This helps with any support needed further down the line to implement new policies or to run a campaign.

Flexibility in the programme: Ensure that health and wellbeing initiatives are tailored to the needs of the workplace. This can ensure that the initiatives are relevant and effective in increasing engagement and participation.
