Women Consultants, Are You Playing Against Yourself?

Women Consultants, Are You Playing Against Yourself?

Welcome to the latest edition of the Seven Figure Consultant LinkedIn Newsletter for Women in Consulting. Don't forget that you can get daily updates from Jessica in your LinkedIn news feed by accessing her LinkedIn profile and hitting Follow. She will be sharing insights and discussions through the week that she would love to hear your views on.

Do you ever feel like growing a business is a huge game of chicken with ourselves?

It could be persuading yourself to pick up the phone to call a prospective client. Or maybe you’ve decided running a webinar will help you with the next stage of your business. You have to promote it, you have to sell it, you have to deliver it. And you need to sell at the end and do the follow up. Can you feel the resistance at each stage of that process?

There’s the first time you raise your prices, there’s the first time you charge 10k, there’s the first time you hire someone.

We are in the business of going outside of our comfort zones. We all have boundaries about what we think we can achieve. Have you ever really listened to the rational and logic employed by your mind as you go about your day? When you start to notice this, it becomes really interesting because this is at play basically from the moment we wake up in the morning, to the time we fall asleep at night. It can also show up in our dreams - you know those dreams you have where everything is going wrong?

Think back over the past few weeks or months. Are you fighting the progress in your business? Are you trying to make it smaller?

You’d love the amazing stuff you’re dreaming of to happen in your business - but then when the momentum starts to build, do you find it freaks you out so you try to slow it down? You’re fighting against the momentum you’ve been working so hard to build.

This is something that I notice with all my clients, but often it’s biggest for women working towards their first 100 thousand dollars in revenue.

And it’s why I set up my Catalyst group container - because when you hit 6 figures for the first time, that can break a LOT of rules and I see women so often sabotage their chances of success because they aren’t comfortable receiving this level of trust and money.

If you’re a woman in the US, UK or Canada, and you’re building a consulting business that serves corporate organisations I would love to invite you to join me in the Catalyst program. It’s a 12-month container, with regular group calls, quarterly 1:1 support and daily support in our exclusive group LinkedIn thread.

We are all about supporting you to serve at your highest level, raise your prices, create packages that sell with ease, and most importantly, get comfortable to receive at a higher level.

If you think this could be a fit for you, head to my website and fill out the application form. We will invite you to a discovery call if it feels like the program is a fit for you, where you can chat with me about where you’d like to take your business and why you’re not achieving the results you want to.

Let me know in the comments, what have you had to challenge yourself to do recently?

Free Report - The Six Elements of a Seven Figure Consulting Business

I've created a free PDF report called The Six Elements of a Seven Figure Business. It’s my most popular free resource and in it I outline the 6 areas of unscaled businesses that need to change in order to move past being ‘booked up and burned out’ and shifting into that higher gear that gets you cruising again.

It’s the framework that helps consultant women like you find their feet and get back to leading the business, rather than being buried in client work and back-end business operations.

Sign up here for your PDF report, and I'll show you the six elements your consultancy needs to make the shift from a nice little 6-figure lifestyle business to a serious 7-figure enterprise.
