Who Decides Your Worth?
Who decides your worth?
I hope you answered âMEâ
Have you ever been told you weren't good enough, despite your countless efforts and impressive credentials? I know that feeling all too well. Recently, I was informed I needed an additional credential to participate in a pro-bono coaching program, and I felt the sting of rejection pierce through me. "How dare they question my abilities?" I thought, consumed by negative thoughts, doubts, and hurt.
The conversation in my head went something like this:
I think you get the picture
I was in a downward spiral of negative thoughts, and it was affecting my ability to think clearly. My inner saboteurs (the high achiever and Pleaser) were hard at work hijacking my mental resilience. I was in full self-sabotage mode.
Thank goodness ð I recovered quickly!
Because my extensive training, I was able to recognize the pattern, objectively assess the situation, and adjust my efforts.at we all have different ways of assessing one another's worth. The program's organizers had their criteria, and it was important to them. But, more importantly, I have unwavering confidence in my ability as a professional coach. I've invested in myself; master's level certifications, learned from reputable mentors, and received extensive coaching. I know the transformational journey I guide my clients through, and I have many testimonials to back my claim.
This experience reminded me of one of my most valuable lessons: the habit of letting others define our worth leads us to lose our confidence, be less productive, increase our stress, and rob us of our joy and happiness.
I wanted to share this experience with you because it's time to break free from the hamster wheel of self-sabotaging thoughts. We can't eliminate challenges, but we can recover faster and move forward with our heads held high.
I am passionate about helping my clients conquer self-sabotage and embrace their true potential. So, if you find yourself stuck in the cycle of doubt, hurt, or low self-worth, I invite you to dare to believe in yourself once more.
Don't let rejection hold you back. Dare to believe in yourself, and let's embark on this transformational path together.
Dare to believe in yourself.
