White Russian
Welcome back, or if itâs your first time here, take a seat, and Iâll fix you a drink.
Today we are going to look at a White Russian; despite the name, this is not a Russian drink.
It was invented in the 1960s when someone added cream to a Black Russian. It was popularized in the 1990s when The Big Lebowski featured âthe Dudeâ drinking it, a lot.
Let's start with some ingredients:
What Glass should I use,â¦
What hardware do I need?
Directions - Let's do this; let's make a drink!
Place a good amount of ice into the glass, about 1/3 full
Add the Vodka and Coffee liqueur.
Stir these together for a good 30 seconds.
Now using your bar spoon, layer the cream on top; thereâs no fixed amount here; it's âto taste.â
To layer the cream, Grab your bar spoon and place it upside down in your glass. Almost almost, but not touching, your drink. Pour your cream onto the back of the spoon very, very slowly.
Enjoy
Tips
For a far more decadent twist, try alternating to 1oz vodka and 2oz Coffee Liqueur or a 2:2 ratio. Donât experiment too much with the ratio though. Too much vodka and your cream will curdle.
This would be the perfect drink for a large decorative ice cube, and there are many molds available online.
