Safari is something we all say we want to do... but so little actually tick it off their bucket list. But now restrictions are somewhat easing, and after 2 years of realising that travel is one of the main things that keep us all sane, it's time to stop talking and start doing!

Below are some of my favourite luxury Safari camps, because I would rather just see the animals then live like them... (it's part of the experience thright!).

Giraffe Manor - Kenya

Giraffe Manor is an exclusive boutique hotel, owned by The Safari Collection. Often referred to as one of the most instagrammed properties in the world, Giraffe Manor is set in 12 acres of private land within 140 acres of indigenous forest in the Langata suburb of Nairobi. Giraffe Manor is one of Nairobi’s most iconic buildings. The historic manor house has extraordinary appeal, that harks back to the 1930s when visitors first flocked to East Africa to enjoy safaris. If you can get up early enough, enjoy an unforgettable breakfast with the Giraffes, just note that you may be a bit hungry after they steal your food!

Sarara Camp - Kenya

The tents overlook the majestic Matthews Mountain Range, providing a fantastic platform by which to experience the 850,000-acre wildlife conservancy. Sarara Camp also has a two bedroom family unit, called Sarara House, which includes a beautiful plunge pool, private dining and its own sitting room. The camp waterhole is frequented by an array of wildlife, including elephant, buffalo, kudu, impala, leopard, wild dog and reticulated giraffe.

Sarara House has become famous for its elephant, which are regular visitors to the house pool and offer guests incredibly up close and personal experiences as they come for their water.

Serengeti Safari Camp - Tanzania

Wanting to stay somewhere your guaranteed to see wildlife in their natural habitiat? This is it. At first glance, the Serengeti camp is a typical tent in the middle of nowhere, but soon you'll notice that this camp gave glamping its name. The camp moves every 2-3 months in order to follow the migration of natural wildlife. The six tents are light in their footprint, but with all that anyone might need in their own bush home: spacious tents with deeply comfortable beds, a roomy dressing area, and then an ensuite bathroom with a low water usage bio-degradable flush toilet, and traditional safari style bucket showers with hot and cold water on demand.

Garonga Safari Camp - South Africa

Garonga Safari Camp is an exclusive 12 bed camp in the 22,000 hectare greater Makalali Conservancy situated west of the Kruger National Park. This unassuming sanctuary promises an intimate wildlife encounter in an unhurried environment where you can unwind, sleep deeply and be yourself. The luxury tents are situated overlooking a dry riverbed – each with a wooden deck complete with hammock that commands spectacular views. The rooms are light, airy and spacious with large, draped beds. Bisate Lodge - Rwanda
