After over 12 years of using LinkedIn & Social Selling daily, and over 6 years now of running my businesses The Daily Sales and Daniel Disney - Speaker/Trainer/Author , I thought I would start to let you in to what's happening behind the scenes ð
I'll share what has been working best for me on LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and Social Selling. I'll share what hasn't worked well, what I'm changing, testing and most importantly what is working well for the companies that I work with all over the world.

In January 2024 I generated a 20% increase in inbound leads from LinkedIn with one simple thing (and a little extra twist added by me)...
The LinkedIn ButtonÂ
These were launched late 2023 as a feature for premium LinkedIn or Sales Navigator users and give you the opportunity to add a clickable link to your LinkedIn profile. You can direct people to your website, special landing page, downloadable content, YouTube video, whatever you want.
IMPORTANT POINT - This button isn't effective on its own. If you don't have a fully optimised profile and aren't sharing good content on a consistent basis, then the button on it's own is unlikely to work very well! You need a strong profile built to convert, and you need to share the right content to drive the right people to your LinkedIn profile.
The Daniel Disney twist....
LinkedIn only gives you the opportunity to add one link (which is great by the way!) but if like me you have multiple services, businesses or offerings, one link isn't enough. So I decided to extend my single link with a Linktree, a site that allows you to list multiple links through one single link.Â

Since adding the link and Linktree extension my inbound LinkedIn leads have gone up consistently, and in January 2024 they went up 20%, with the quality of each lead incredibly high.Â
Sales Navigator is an incredible tool (but I will always say it's not for EVERYONE). However when used right it can be a game changer for business and sales.Â
One of my favourite features (and this isn't including the newly launched relationship maps and Account IQ features!) is the lead suggestions that they send weekly. Across January 2024 they sent me 257 total leads. NOTE - As I'm writing this I've just had this weeks email from Sales Nav with 76 new lead suggestions!Â
Based of the details you input to Sales Nav about your target customers (extremely detailed and targeted with their extensive filters), these leads are delivered to your inbox and Sales Nav account.Â
Now of course they're not all perfect, I personally find that I qualify between 20% - 40%, but the thing to remember is these are all generated via Sales Nav with no work by you!Â

There is one thing working extremely well on LinkedIn and in Social Selling and that is....

RESULTS
What I mean by that is people sharing REAL RESULTS that they're generating for their customers. Yes everyone loves all of these influencers, everyone loves a deep personal story or someone overcoming some sort of adversity. That might get you some likes and comments, but when it comes to generating business people want to know you can actually do something for them.
This is why in 2024 there is huge demand, and response, to posts that highlight real ROI achieved for customers.
And this isn't just for posts and content, this is for messages as well.
The top performing LinkedIn Social Selling message template for me and for all of the companies I work with around the world is "The ROI Template".Â
This template focuses heavily on sharing an ROI you recently achieved for a similar company to the one you're messaging. The more real/authentic or proven the ROI, the more effective it will be.Â
