What is a noble barbarian?

• A noble savage is a literary stock character who embodies the concept of the indigene, outsider, or "other" who has not been "corrupted" by civilization, and therefore symbolizes humanity's innate goodness.

• The term "noble savage" is an idea people had: Without civilization, humans are essentially good; it is a civilization that makes them act in bad ways.

• Noble savage, in literature, is an idealized concept of an uncivilized man, who symbolizes the innate goodness of one not exposed to the corrupting influences of civilization.

• A character who is, due to their race or ethnicity, a member of a barbaric or savage tribe (or a group simply perceived as such by others), and because of it portrayed as nobler or of higher moral fiber than the norm. (Often regarded as living the Good Old Ways).

• The Noble Barbarian chronicles the modern man and his journey to being progressively timeless, a gentleman as well as a worthy savage who hunts what is great and compelling in design, photography, art, and literature.
