Many people do not understand the power they have and go through life blaming circumstances for the life they are living. In this way they live in a powerless way by laying the power over their happiness and success outside them.

1. Know yourself: Many people are not able to achieve their purpose in life because they have not fully discovered themselves. Self-discovery helps one know their true identity. Knowing yourself extends beyond physical characteristics. It mostly involves knowing your strengths and weaknesses. You have the power to build your self-confidence as you march on to success.
2. Identify and grow your potential: There are many people with talents in the diaspora; however, the problem is how to harness them. This calls for very pertinent questions: what are my interest areas? What can I do best that will be of benefit to myself and society? What do I need to grow my potential? Asking yourself these questions is very important and in the right direction for your success.
3. Seek guidance and counselling: Life is a journey filled with happy and sad times, and in most situations, we need to take a step back and reflect soberly on our successes and failures. It is extremely helpful to seek the help of an expert on some crucial decisions you make because your choices can make or unmake you. After the counselling, you now have the power to make the critical decisions you are confronted with and make informed choices. There have been several people with the power to succeed who are struggling because of the wrong choices they might have made. Have a trusted and mature person you can sometimes think with.
4. Attach a value tag to yourself. Know your worth and brand it accordingly. For example, if you are a businessperson, it is important to note that the first product you sell is how you package yourself [kindness, respect, neatness, genuineness, hard work, communication, etc.] before the actual material products you trade in. Read and learn more from other people on how to add value to yourself and how to promote the positive things you excel at.
5. Embrace your challenges and work on them: Understand that challenges and mistakes are inevitable, but acknowledging them and improving what you do best will greatly impact your life journey. Always running away from your challenges will impede your progress. Yes, you have the power to make things right as you journey on.
6. Be fair but firm: You have the power to turn situations around. However, do not use it to suppress others. Try to always be fair, yet maintain your composure so that others won't take you for granted. Always maintain a balance because you also have to safeguard your reputation and brand. Do that without creating any issues.
7. Be the light wherever you go: The power you have can rekindle and have a positive impact on the lives of people you come into contact with through your kindness and love for humanity. Making good use of your power will help you succeed in all spheres of life.
