Much more serious support for the defense of the country in cyberspace
Yesterday at the Aspen Cyber Summit, I announced that I’ll be giving another $100 million to build cyber civil defense across our country, and to help Americans and our infrastructure become more resilient against very real cyber threats.
A new public awareness campaign is a big part of this.
This campaign introduces a simple idea to help individuals protect themselves, their communities, and our nation: the 9-second pause. By taking 9 seconds before responding online or to an email that does not seem right, we can all be safer. Our water and power supplies, and a lot more, will be safer - for real.
We all have a role to play. Mine is putting my money where my mouth is.Â
