🤑💰More money, more problems? 😡

🤑💰More money, more problems? 😡

Ever had thoughts like these?

  1. I feel like I have so much life experience to give and share, but I can't seem to figure out how to get paid what I deserve.
  2. Having MORE than enough money is somehow scary, unnecessary, and SELFISH.
  3. It's not that I hate money, but I don't think I trust myself to manage a lot of it.
  4. Hmm …
  5. Growing up, we didn't have much, but it was still enough. There’s a lot of pride, creativity, and satisfaction in ‘stretching a dollar’.
  6. People with too much money are mean to others. It’s not fair.
  7. I feel ANGRY with money!
  8. I feel like everybody should get a baseline amount of money. No matter how much or how little they contribute.
  9. If I generate too much money, people will bug me for it and expect free stuff. Some may even steal it! (Plus, I’ll have to pay more taxes).
  10. If I get rich, some people may be jealous.
  11. I’ll have a target on my back.
  12. Rich people are truly selfish and GREEDY. They hoard resources while people suffer deeply -- and then they coldly look the other way.

With thoughts like these, you may feel like you’re always chasing money, and money is always running away from you.

Well, I used to have the same challenge!

I did TONS of “the usual” mindset work around money. Worked through common sayings I heard growing up like ‘money doesn’t grow on trees’ and so on.

But no matter what I did, I was still struggling. I was constantly running behind on my mortgage and car payments.

I felt very angry with money. I was sure God got it wrong about money. I thought the whole system of money was extremely $crewed up.

Because I thought God got it all wrong, that means, by default, I thought I knew better. Looking back, I realize it's interesting. Can one person know better than the entire Universe? Still, I’ve met many, many coaches who have trouble accepting the current financial setup.

Finally, I chose to surrender that this is the way it is.

I had to let go of the way it “should be'' and deal with it the way it actually is.

When I did that, I opened up and I discovered I could be the captain of my own destiny. I could control HOW I showed up, instead of worrying about what anyone else did or the choices they made.

My freedom began when I chose to take responsibility and mind my own business.

Harsh, but true.

You really can’t control others anyway. But you can always choose to be a beacon of light — an example of what true abundance and contribution looks like.

That is why I encourage you to accept our economic system as it is. This doesn’t mean we can’t all work to improve it. But in the meantime, work within it.

This acceptance got the ball rolling. I discovered I could actually create much more value when I learned to speak the language of clients, (the language of results). I found the value that people get from my work went up as I was able to speak their language better.

I could do coaching. But when I could finally translate what I do into what people want, people would sign up and invest. I could share my insights with other people, enrich their lives and help make their lives better.

At some point I realized, I guess God had it set up the right way in the first place. Heh!

Turns out, the plan was set up to challenge and force me to grow. Because, if all our needs were met regardless of our contributions, some of us might still be motivated, while others might not. Some would still do what they love for a living, whereas others would do the bare minimum.

>> But, either way, we wouldn't be very challenged. <<

And those challenges are what help us grow!

Today I’d love to invite you to embrace the challenge. Embrace growth.

The late, great, Zig Ziglar has a famous quote: “You can have everything in life you want, if you will help enough other people get what they want.”

The next big breakthrough I had was to realize one of the greatest avenues to great wealth is to share great value and help the most people possible. That’s why I started hosting group coaching. Of course, back in the day, that mostly consisted of telesummits and conference calls.

Nowadays, I help the most people in the least amount of time by multiplying myself.

My coaching business doesn’t rely only on one-to-one coaching. Over time, I’ve written books and created courses. I also host masterminds and virtual events.

Can YOU think of ways to multiply yourself?

When you learn how to translate what you do into what people want, money struggles become a thing of the past. When you allow money to flow into your life by HELPING others, what could be better than that?

Best of all, when you have a lot of money, you get to hang out with other people who have a lot of money, too. You can always stay authentic to your values while learning how to manage money.

Remember, you can help TONS more people when you have money compared to when you don’t. When you come from a space of overflow, you can take care of your family, your team, and your clients. You can give to causes you care about.

And you can be a shining example that what you teach actually WORKS.

With all the love in my heart,

Christian
