Mind Your Mindset! Let's Instil The Values Of Gender Equality In Our Children.
Women are worthy of their dignity and rights! The stereotypical demarcation built-in society says that men or boys are more potent than girls. However, it will not be wrong to say that when it comes to being strong, both mentally and physically, women are no less than men. They have been proving their worth in different walks of life for many years now. It has thus become essential to break the societal barrier or abridge the gap between both genders.
The term equality or gender equality wildly is blazing in the present times. Yet, across the globe, around only 15 percent of the world's countries have a female leader. Only more than 20 percent of senior managers are women, and more than 25 percent of organizations have no female senior managers at all.
Despite the nth number of advances and progress, there are still times where boysâ-oriented building block games are designed in blue colour, and girlsâ-oriented kitchen sets or dollhouse sets are designed in pink colour. Even in this contemporary and intellectual world, we are still shackled by the constraints imposed on us based on our gender.
In various instances, it feels like even though we have come so far, gender equality issues in different walks of life still feel very pertinent and a very long way off. Despite shifting times, a sense of dominance still comes with the territory. Gender equality is a constant clash. They are waited on, given penchant, more than often spoilt just a little extra. Some women in our society consider themselves blessed to be mothers of sons, and female members of some families still believe in this male supremacy.
On the other hand, social media platforms are also flooded with adorable pictures of women or men celebrating daughters and celebrating to be proud parents of beautiful daughters, consequently empowering and encouraging women to be supporting each other. However, the news headlines don't let one forget the challenges and struggles a woman undergoes every day.
