Mind Full or Mindful?

Mind Full or Mindful?

We all give priority to other things and let our own happiness take a back seat. Things like our job, partner, kids, and lately social media, take a big toll on our lives daily. As a result of which we fail to live and enjoy the moment we are in.

Here are some ways to increase your mindfulness.

  • Have ‘me’ time: Do things that inspire you. This will make you happy. Self-activity like cooking, meditation, walking the dog or any other hobby, inspires a positive attitude.
  • First comes ‘you’: Make sure you are happy, before making others the same. This way you will have the energy to look after others' needs.
  • Relax: Let yourself go daily for at least half an hour…whether it is soothing music, or a long relaxing bath. A fresh body and a relaxed mind will make you peaceful and happy.
  • Learn to build and take care of your relationships: In these days of social media, personal and physical connection plays a key role in happiness. So ensure that you take time out for your relationships.
  • Live in the present: Don’t anticipate the future and worry yourself in the present. By doing this, you miss out on the current moment and fail to experience it. Take a breath and appreciate the astonishing life you have right now.
  • Enjoy the nature therapy: Walk or run in the fresh air. Watch the world go by around you.
  • Abstain from the digital world, time to time: Reduce stress by putting your gadgets away for a few hours daily. Also don’t compete and compare yourself with others on social media.
  • Set yourself goals: Make a to-do list of things that you want from your life and work on a plan to achieve them. This process boosts our morale and with every goal achieved, you can look back on its success.
  • Learn to say no: Consider this as saying a yes to you. You will feel less burdened and be happy.
  • Face your fears: Take risks, try something new. The rewards are worth it. As they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  • Identify your strengths: Remind yourself of your talents and feel proud.
  • Don’t hold on to your past: Move ahead in life. Make peace with the past and learn to forgive — first yourself and then others.
  • Pamper yourself: Treat yourself for a movie, trip, etc. once in a while. When you reward yourself for being what you are, your self-esteem gets a big boost.
  • Deep breathe: It is a great stress buster
  • Catch up with friends: Getting nostalgic with them will help you unwind.

Mindfulness is the new mantra for success. How mindful are you ?

Sorry for the delayed response, but thanks guys

Lovely article, love the point of learning to say no, true. Karaoke sessions too are liberating.
