Kindness, an only rent.

Kindness, an only rent.

Kindness means the quality of being friendly, generous and considerate. Being kind to everyone who enters in your daily life, could make it more meaningful. To make someone smile during a day has been a worthwhile one. And yes of course! It’s a rent. Kindness, quite simply, a rent we must pay for the space we occupy on this planet.

‘The Mahabharta’is an epic narrative of kurukshetra war, we all know. Surya putra(Son of Lord Sun) Karna, is one of the best example of being kind. Karna gave away his ‘kavach’ and ‘kundal’ to Indra who came to him in guise of poor Brahmin. Karna knew that he will die by giving away things that immortalized him. He did this without any hesitation & is beyond generosity. Kindness is exactly something like this. It is not devotion but self-sacrifice, I would say. So many human stories and tales are replete to kindness. “The secret of human freedom is to act well, without attachment to the result”, Bhagwat-Gita teaches.

Man is capable of sacrificing his own self and his life and that’s the greatness. Kindness is something which society keeps seeking around. This rent is much essential for today’s world’s problems and situations. For me, when it comes to express kindness is like, “Ji chahe jab ham ko aawaj do.... ham hain yahi, tum ho jahan. Apane yahi dono jahan.... iske siva jana kahan”, a beautiful song from very famous Bollywood film  Mera Naam Joker.

To make someone smile, to help someone, to work for someone for free, to educate someone needy, to feed, to devote ourselves for something good, to celebrate for some one’s happiness, to pay for, etc. are very few examples of kindness. Definition of kindness is different for everyone & the way of showing it also differs. The amount of this rent is different for everyone. But important thing is, we must pay. Every one of us must contribute.

We all are visitors on the planet. World’s an inn and each one will come and go. The life can be utilized with kind nature is the life that is most sought after.

“Tu kya lekar aaya tha aur kya lekar jayega....
Do ghaz jamin aur ek kafan ka tukada hi tu payega.
Zindagi ko kisi ke kam me to lakar dekh le....
Buzhati ankhon me bhi sukun tu le jayega”

We must realize that, nothing belong to us at the end. Our kindness will be remembered forever. At the end, I want to quote, “kindness is the language which the deaf can here and the blind can see.”

Thank you, be kind and keep paying your rent.
