Have you ever sensed a quiet but insistent pull toward something greater—a call to expand, create, or do something different with the gifts you’ve been given? I like to describe this pull as being more than just a fleeting feeling, but instead, an invitation from God to step into a purpose far greater than ourselves. 

But how exactly do we step into this calling and how can we use it to unlock our full potential?

Unlocking Multiplication

Sometimes, the path to growth begins with a single idea - a small seed planted in the depths of our heart. EquipHer began in that exact way. It was born from a desire to create an event that supported and encouraged Christian women in business, and provided a sense of community amongst like-minded, business women. While I felt this idea stirring inside my heart, I had no idea what the next step would be to bring it to fruition.

Little did I know that a special new friendship would be the connection to help bring this event to life. 

I had always admired Pastor Wendy Perez as a preacher and leader in the Christian world. Her communication skills, passion, and vision for uplifting women had always inspired me, and I felt called to reach out and connect with her. The only question was, what would I say? I didn’t want it to be awkward, but I felt a consistent pull to reach out. 

I remember feeling nervous, but I didn’t allow that to prevent me from obeying the call in my heart to send her a message. To my surprise, she quickly responded, and before I knew it,  a new friendship was born. 

Soon after our initial conversation, I shared my heart to serve women in business - this gap in ministry that I believed needed to be filled  - and I’ll never forget her response, she said: “Let’s do it!” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and I kept thinking to myself; “is this really happening!?”

As we ended our call, I remember feeling an overwhelming sense of humbleness and gratitude  towards God, because I could literally feel Him moving in my life in that exact moment. I could see Him working behind the scenes to connect me with this incredible woman in order to make this new idea a reality. 

Sharing the vision with Pastor Wendy not only multiplied the resources and support available to bring EquipHer’s vision to life but also expanded its reach and impact. What started as a quiet desire became a partnership with the potential to influence countless women around the world.

I share this story because I encourage you to consider the “seeds” God has planted in your heart—the quiet dreams and ideas that seem as though they are a far reach, but in fact, may only need one step of faith to be put into action.

Growing Boldly: Taking Faithful Steps Outside Your Comfort Zone

One thing I have learned through my experience as Co-Founder of EquipHer Movement, is that multiplying our impact doesn’t happen within our comfort zones. For me and Pastor Wendy, this meant moving forward despite the unknown path ahead—drafting plans, organizing resources, and creating a community around the vision.

Each step was a way of us saying, “God, I trust that this seed will grow, and if it doesn’t, at least we know we gave it our all.”

Faithful multiplication often means letting go of our own expectations and insecurities and allowing God to shape our journey. Just as I trusted God’s guidance in reaching out to Pastor Wendy without knowing the real “why,” each one of us must take those first small steps, knowing that growth begins the moment we act. 

Think about what small step you could take today to move beyond your comfort zone and into a space where real growth happens. Maybe it’s as simple as making a phone call, sending an email, or even praying for the courage to move forward.

Trusting God’s Bigger Vision

The true key to multiplication lies in surrendering our vision to God’s purpose. This journey started as a simple idea, but when I let go and invited God to guide it, I quickly realized that He has greater plans than I could ever imagine. When we place our trust in Him, He multiplies our reach in ways we never expected.

So as you consider the ways God may be calling you to grow, ask yourself how your talents and resources might serve a greater purpose. Often, God calls us to places we don’t feel fully prepared for, stretching us beyond what feels comfortable. But stepping into His vision, even with uncertainty, is where unstoppable growth begins.
