JOB VS BUSINESS: WHICH ONE YOU SHOULD CHOOSE

JOB VS BUSINESS: WHICH ONE YOU SHOULD CHOOSE

Maybe your age is around 20 to 25. At this stage of your life, one of the biggest decisions you have to take is your career and that decision is which one you should choose a job or business? Maybe your age is around 30 to 40 or even more than that, still, this is a question that will linger upon your head. A job will give you security and a steady income whereas in business you will be facing risk. However, in business, you might get exponential growth which is impossible with a job. No company will give you increment every day. You have to wait throughout the year to get an increment and that too depending on the mood of your boss. But, when it comes to business, there is no limit for your everyday increment (also there is a possibility of everyday decrement).

So, how can you choose which is the best for you? Should you opt for a job or business? In this blog, you will get the answer to this complex question is in a simple manner. So, let’s begin…

You need to be frank with yourself. Ask your inner-self, why do I want to do business? Is it because I have seen someone like Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos earning billions of dollars and I want to do that as well? Because, frankly speaking, who doesn’t like the money? And in business, you can earn so much that you won’t be able to earn even after working for 30 years in a company. Or you want to do business because you feel that you are made only for this?

The growth of your business depends on three factors such as;

  • Your Potential
  • Your Business Ideas
  • The Acceptance of Your Clients

You may have created a gem of a product or providing great services to your clients but they are not accepting what you are providing. What will happen then? That is what happens to most of the businesses. The ones who failed will tell you that they were very much passionate about what they were providing the clients but because the clients did not appreciate or accept their work, they quit the business. Before you start your business, you should know that the success of your business will not depend upon how much you are passionate or have a deep desire for the business. Passion or desire will help you to move forward for sure when you are down and out but the thing you need more than passion and desire is understanding.

You need to understand what your clients want from you and if you can deliver according to that then you can achieve miraculous growth. If you fail to understand even the simplest parts of your life and require the help from someone to make you understand the consequences then the business is not for you because here you will not get anyone who will be there for you when you are facing the problem. As the owner of the company, you have to take responsibility.

For common people, business is a very complex thing. How to start a business that will yield a good amount of profit? How to maximize the growth in a limited time in business? These are very complicated questions to answer. But, the ability to answer these questions in a simple manner is the sign of a true businessman. If you take pages after pages to explain your business idea then it is an idea that will certainly destroy your life as an entrepreneur. But, if you have the ability to describe the same idea in just one single page then it is a great business idea.

When you see that you have to explain to your clients in order to get the approval then mark my word, business is not for you. There is nothing to explain in business. There is a market need and you will fulfil that need in this or that way. That is it, as simple as that. This is the business for you. Many think that it is a science that you need to learn. But the fact of the matter is, business is less of a science and more of an art. The art of simplifying the most complicated things on this planet.

Is there only one way you can do work? Or is there numerous ways to do the same work? Well, the answer would there are multiple ways. That is the business mind for you. But, if you apply the same business mind to your job then you will fail miserably because in jobs you have to do exactly what is asked of you, no more or no less. This is what you can call linear thinking where you don’t need to use your brain to act in a certain way. You just follow the orders given to you. If you try to more than that then the company will fire you first. So, if your mind follows the linear pattern of thinking then the business is absolutely not for you.

Many assume that they need to invest a million dollar to start their business and for that, they will take a loan from the bank and after taking the loan they will do this and that. If this is your thought process as well then the business is definitely not for you. This is a pure example of linear thinking.

Let me give you another example of a linear mind and how a business mind would solve the same problem. There is a man who is trying to put a nail inside a wall. But the nail is not moving anywhere because there is an iron beam where he was trying to put the nail. No matter how much he tries, the nail will never go in. Now, let’s me tell you how a business mind will approach such as a scenario. A man who has a business mind will tell himself, “Let’s see what happens when I put the nail on the right side of the place where I am trying to get the nail in”. What will happen do you think? One hit and the nail goes straight into the wall. That’s a business mind for you.

  • If you can simplify the most complicated things in this world then the business is for you
  • If you can think by placing yourself in place of others then the business is for you
  • If you can feel and touch the emotions of others then the business is for you
  • If you are not selfish and want to work for others then the business is for you

Business is not all about the mind but it is also about the heart. If you can mix both these elements then you can get unimaginable growth in business.
