How can we deal with fear?

There is no person that didn’t experience fear, it is an unpleasant feeling, and nothing can limit our lives as fear.

What is fear?

Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm.

How can we deal with fear?

FEAR AND PERSONALITY- fear isn’t something objective, fear exists just in the mind of some person. Fear is not in some uncertain or dangerous situation, fear is just in the mind of a person who approaching some situation. The same situation for different persons can be normal or frightening, that is why fear is just a construct of the mind. Fear doesn’t exist outside of the mind, fear is an illusion, but that illusion can create huge problems in life.

FACING FEAR- fear will be stronger if we run away from it. In a situation when you feel tremendous fear, you just want to run away, but if you stay in that situation and don’t run away, you will notice that you can handle that feeling, and suddenly your fear will be reduced. There are a few ways how you can deal with your fear.

WHICH APPROACH TO USE?- you have two approaches, you can try with small or baby steps when you facing your fears, or you can directly face your fears. Both can be helpful, and both can help you to overcome your fears.

BABY STEPS- in this approach you start with visualization, and you try to overcome your fear in your mind. After that, when you feel confident enough, you can raise your standard and you can try to overcome some part of your fear or you can stay longer in some frightening situation. You can create many steps, at the end that will lead you to the liberation of your fears. Example: you are afraid of dogs. You can start visualizing that you can be calm in the presence of a dog. After that, you can find a small dog, and try to play with him, After that, you can try to face a bigger dog, and that will help you to overcome your fear of a dog. This approach can be slow, but you will notice the change in your behavior and attitude, and you can control the level of your challenge. Most people have successfully overcome their fears with this approach.

FACE DIRECTLY YOUR FEARS- this approach can be radical, but you will in a shorter time succeed in overcoming your fear. You put yourself in a frightening situation, and you stay there until you don’t overcome your fear. This approach is not for everyone, but for those who want to use the fastest way to overcome their fears. When you put yourself in a challenging situation you need to stop overthinking, stop thinking, you need to calm down, observe and try to be relaxed. You will realize that fear doesn’t exist anywhere just in your mind, and you will be able to overcome it.

FEAR IS SLAVERY- when you feel fear, you are a slave to that feeling. If you feel fear you are not free. If you feel fear you are not independent. Don’t tolerate small fear, they can become bigger. Biggest fears bigger problems. You have just one life, don’t be a slave to any fear, be free.
