Heaven or Hell of a Year!
Hola Amigos!
2021 is about to end. 2 more days, and we are going to be entering into another year. I'm sure your feed must be filled (if not today, then in the coming two days) with posts highlighting their success and failures; highs and lows; positives and negatives of their "2021". But my feed is already bombarded with such posts.
I'm going to be honest. I love seeing these posts. Albeit I won't lie that it doesn't make me think about where I stand, but it does make me happy. It's good to see people progressing over a year. You know what it means? In clear-cut words, it means they worked on themselves.
They had an action plan. They had set their goals. They were more than willing to work towards them, and they achieved them. But, does that mean that they had no hiccups in the way of getting things "their way"? Of course... NOT!
One should never judge the book by its cover! You cannot (or rather, should not) judge someone's life without knowing the bits and pieces of it. Life can mess up with anyone, but the onus is on the person to handle the situation with thoughtfulness and maturity.
I always see someone succeeding as a sign of their hard work, dedication, and commitment. I never demean it by saying - "oh, he/she got lucky". You CREATE your luck by putting in your efforts, time, energy - the most critical resources you as a human being own.
Don't resent these posts. Rather, be inspired and create your own roadmap to "success" - the one that fits your life.
Nevertheless.

Even if you had a bad year. Even if things didn't go your away this year. Even if the worst you thought of happening - happened. There's always room for starting afresh! Till the doom, there remains hope - and with the coming new year, there is a rekindled hope.
Leaving you all with a quote (This one's by Michelle Obama ) to ponder upon -
You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world's problems at once but don't ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.
I truly hope you get the courage to always fight; and strength to always get up after every downfall. Because, success comes to those who are filling to never leave the battlefield.
Love, and light,
Simran

2yThoughtful piece igniting my inner courage :) For me, why I love these year-end posts is because it's a validation that people are actually reflecting their actions and past, which helps in knowing about oneself.
