Happy Diwali BUT it is time to say no to Falsehood - Be Authentic!

A False and stupid Drama on grand scale will unfold today in India. We will talk about Love and Love will be measured by gifts rather than Heart felt love. We will exchange gifts that will be passed on to others because in our hearts we know, there is no inner value or love attached to these gifts - just an age old custom. A lot of Happy Diwali calls will be made and messages will be sent - just verbal and mental with absolutely no in-felt happiness. Just formal stuff -all Falsehood.

A Festival of Death when pollution levels bounce multiple times and cause asthma and other breathing problems to millions - This is the way we celebrate!! Even new born babies are having breathing problems in hospitals but insanity will take over and who cares about Humanity! So yes, burst a lot of crackers and play the role in this crap tradition of bursting crackers and breathing poisonous air. Don't change because others do the same.

People will light lamps but the only significance of this is to actually find the light and love inside. No one cares about the REAL - outside lamps and lights are enough.

Although we have seen that no money comes just by praying to Money, yet we will keep up the age old tradition by praying to Money - a pretty good business for some and illogical custom.

There might be few moments of Peace, Love, Joy and Relaxation though. These might be the only REAL and TRUE moments. Stay aware and enjoy these moments.

Wishing you a Sane and Happy Diwali. Sing, Dance and Laugh today but let us be responsible and say no to Falsehood. Be Authentic - Be Courageous.

So Very True ! & absolutely wonderful narration of the reality... One can not change the whole world, but can surely change oneself to be happy & at peace & which gets reflected up to some extent in surrounding neighborhood at least.. Thanks !!

Well summarized, Ramandeep Singh; I agree with your viewpoint that Diwali literally has become a"Festival of Death" and is true in many ways to those who call the Capital of India as their home! The festive spirit has lost it's significance in Today's harsh economic reality especially with rising cost of living, soaring prices of necessity items like food grains and basic healthcare. It's a challenge to spread true light and genuine happiness in the World's most polluted city!😢
