As PIOs and emergency responders, it is easy to be dazzled by social media. But how often do bloggers call you to get confirmation or attribution? When was the last time you saw a retraction for a lie on Twitter?...Journalists are not perfect, but we would not be free without a free press... Yes, I cover social media in all of my communications training, but always with a comparable lesson on media relations.
