All roads to hell are paved from good intentions and I know most of you people on this page feel that the advice is inadequate because it doesn’t speak from something that is from the spirit of productivity BUT Allow me to explain my thoughts for saying this .

Firstly the best advice I can give you is DO NOT GET A LOAN . Whatever choice you make after that advice will be correct , be it building a house , buying a plot or buying a car .. All that is correct long as you don’t get a loan . Now if you insist on using that loan legibility the bank is throwing in your face , then listen up :

Business success is not only reliant on the availability of capital . There are other aspects that need to be satisfied in order for you to succeed and the cardinal one is experience . Experience cannot be bought with money , you buy it with time practising that which you want to be good at . Learning happens when you fail here and there , When someone crooks you for Go like , you learn about fools gold that not all that is glitters is gold . Then you do legit business with cousin and realise that family and business are not suppose to mix . Then you order goods that take long to come and customs gives you a stiff bill then you realise the logistics gimmicks for your goods and discover how difficult and unreasonable tax officers are . Then you advertise your goods and learn that people don’t really like buying nicotine gums , they say they want to stop smoking BUT are not willing to go through the agony of it all . So you learn that give customers what they want not what they think they want . The learning goes on and on , now with a loan its like each time you make a mistake the teacher hits you hard with a shamboko

What I am saying is business is a skill that you learn and you will most likely fail the first time you attempt it . Failure is not the problem here but the loan will amplify the consequences of the failure . You will be paying for a boutique that you failed 3 years ago , which will affect the enthusiasm in learning in business kaili you will be paying for a chima loan that hasn’t benefited you .

Failure is not escapable in business , it has to happen first a couple of times before you succeed , You know of people who got pensions or benefits after stopping work and tried business , you know people who borrowed money and after a period of 2 years Max . The all turn up broke , then they sell what the stuff they bought to reinvest in something else and give them another year and BROKE again ! because they don’t understand that business is a skill that you learn over time not cause you have money .

WHY NOT A LOAN FOR A PLOT ??

Buying a plot is like deciding to climb a mountain then you meet someone flying their with a helicoptor , he tells you that I will take you half way there but when we reach you have to pay me buy carrying my bags because the altitude only allows one person to be on the helicoptor . You agree then you find that now climbing the mountain is 10 times harder because now you are carrying another persons luggage .

Lets say you buy a plot , you will pay for it with a loan and interest over 3 to 4 years . After you finnish paying for the loan or before even paying the loan you will have to also build the house you want . So now count , If the loan repayment is K3000 per month , then you are building the house with K3500 per month also , then your current rent is K2500 . How much are you spending with regards to a house ( K9000 (3500 + 2500 + 3000) . You are spending K9000 per month so that one day you cannot pay K2500 per month lol ( Sit down and think about that )

Being a landlord is not a big success as people seem to put it . A landlords income is the rent and I know most of you cannot work for rent per month . Max normal rent is K4000 ! Can you invest for 4 years to be paid K4000 per month ? I cant because I know I can make that with 20 CVs and I don’t have to get a loan , invest for 4 years . I just get to it and make 20 CVs and il have K4000 . Maybe someone that sells shoes at 300 profit just needs to sell 13 shoes to make K4000 . Someone is saying that business might fail but a house is a secure investment . Ofcourse it is BUT its still K4000 ! per month after a soul crashing 4 years of building .

Why do people even build houses , to me it doesn’t make sense , they cost so much and give back so little .

WHY YOU SHOULD BUY A CAR WITH YOUR FIRST LOAN

My brother or sister you deserve to enjoy your life for a bit , you went through school upto G12 and then went through a punishing college or university for 4 years . You started work and now you want to punish yourself again by buying a plot or doing a business ? no no you deserve to enjoy and not only that here are the benefits

A car is a cost-effective mode of transport. For those of you saying a car is a liability no my friend a car is a utility. Everyone can agree that a Taxi costs more than owning your car right ? because if I tell a cabby that take me to grand daddies and back from kabwata he may even charge me K300 if he is good , that is quarter fuel tank , I can go to kabwe and back with that ! so a car actually saves you money !

A car gives you a sense of fulfilment . You know there is just something about a person who doesn’t drive especially if you are a man , there is just something that I cant put a finger on , like there is something missing . Same feeling with someone who say doesn’t have a phone . There is just something about them , Today you need a car , even if it’s a wire ! You need to be able to go to grand daddies and back OR even church , you want to reach church soaked from rain , ninshi na bible naibomba , God will punish you . LOL

A car slows down time by its speed . You will be able to do more with a car than if you don’t . You can go shopping in soweto , pass by grannies place , go by magarets for some time and have dinner with james BUT with no car . You will just go to soweto that day and come back tired . so a car makes you do a 100 things in a day so we can say a car is efficient . For you that are speaking of building how will you go to the plot , see what is needed , go check prices for building materials , buy and come back to supervise the building ? its not possible without a car especially if your plot is on the other side of town and you also stay on the other side.

Today a car is just as important as a phone . you need it ! it will help you and make your life easier . I suggest it over a plot and business because whilst you are building or doing business , you still need to be living . a car will come and it will make you feel good about yourself .
