December Newsletter
Hello!
The end of the year is almost upon us, and we've been busy wrapping up projects with our talented bunch of illustrators. Before we sign off and put our feet up by an open fire, we've crammed some last highlights into our final newsletter of 2022.
First up, a new face; we've added the talented Luke McConkey to our roster. We think his infectiously fun illustration style will be big in 2023. We're going to need it!
Last month we went all out (and all went out) to record a podcast with Andrew Joyce, after which we locked him in a room and forced him to draw a map to find his way out. Listen to the podcast and marvel at the drawings.
Andrew Lyons has become a winter scene specialist, and we were super proud to see his hard work on display at 'Ice Rink Canary Wharf', and seemingly everywhere across the London Underground. Oh and speaking of London, scroll to the bottom for possibly our biggest news in 13 years...
See you in the new year!

Liverpool-based Luke has a unique style which focuses on bright colour, bold lines and fun characters. His work draws inspiration from music, games, cartoons, food and just about anything around him.

The Handsome Frank Podcast EP13
Illustrator Andrew Joyce is perhaps best known for his maps and building illustrations. As such, we thought it would be fun to take the Handsome Frank podcast to the streets and check out some London architecture.
Grabbing some newly acquired roving recording equipment, we wired ourselves up, clipped some microphones to our lapels and went for a little walk and talk around one of our favourite neighbourhoods.
You can read all about it and see Andrew's illustrations in our supplementary blog post.
Andrew Lyons
Canary Wharf Ice Rink
Andrew Lyons has worked his socks off this year, and it's no surprise that his talent for gracefully composed wintry scenes made him the number one choice to to furnish 'Ice Rink Canary Wharf'.
On display through October to February, eagle-eyed skate fans will spot the illustrations change through the coming seasons, depicting the many fun filled ways (curling anyone?) to elegantly fall on your backside on the ice.
And Finally...
We have a new home!
After 13 years of working in bedrooms, kitchens and WeWorks, weâre going to have our own home. Weâll be sharing more news about this exciting new adventure soon...
