Cycling to raise money @Velomarathon2015

Did you know that a British-born Irish professional road racing cyclist Daniel Martin was born five weeks premature and suffered from asthma as a child? However, that did not stop him from becoming the great cyclist and the picture above just proves it with his riding to victory at the 2013 Liège–Bastogne–Liège.

On August 23th “Velomarathon 2015” will start in Vilnius city center - the sixth time in a row already. This attractive event invites everyone: from young ones to true dedicated veterans of cycling and it offers different heats for: children, hobbyists and sportsmen/sportswomen. Last year there were a record number of more than 10 000 cyclists while this time that record my be easily beaten. You can find more info on the event here.

Last year I cycled "for fun" as a hobbyist. This time I am gonna ride 30 km as our MC Charity Foundation's team member to support our fundraising campaign for the human milk analyzer to be granted to Neonatal Center of Children's Hospital. We are in the mid of the progress already and we would be very pleased to raise 100 Eur for each kilometer. At MC Charity Foundation we believe everyone deserves a life worth living as you never know which one of those premature babies might be the next cycling champion!

That is why I would be very grateful if you donated to my project now! You can do so by clicking here or here. Lithuanians may even text "galiu5" to 1670 and contribute by SMS. All living in or close to Vilnius will be invited to a gratitude party afterwards with some specialties to recover while those who are not able to join will get a special gift for keepsake.

Thank you.
