CONVERSATION is your most important currency as a service provider

As a premium provider of services, you need to embrace conversation as part of your day-to-day business life. Rarely, if ever do sales occur where clients invest in premium, high ticket services without having a quality conversation with a well-informed expert.

As a service provider, whether you're a coach, consultant, agency owner, law firm owner, accountant or any expert-based business professional - conversations are your most valuable currency.

The problem with running a business is that your attention is pulled in so many different directions each day. It's hard to find the space, time and focus to dedicate to having quality conversations with people. But you must find this time... Think about all of the best clients you've worked with or are working with today. How did it all begin? It was by having a focused conversation.

If you don't make time for these kinds of conversations and prioritise them over day-to-day busy work - you are leaving opportunity and money on the table.

So instead of trying to do everything yourself, outsource, delegate and systemize at all costs. When you really think about it, most of the 'stuff' we fill our day with can be outsourced. Whether that's your bookkeeping, your marketing, admin, or even components of delivery. What usually cannot be outsourced or scaled, is the expertise, credibility and value you can give to others by having conversations.

Today I realize in my business, that the MOST productive way I can spend my time is with people in my target market that have genuine challenges and are looking for real solutions. When I spend my time with these people, it gives both me and them a bigger ROI than any other task I can be doing. If you're providing premium services, then this will most likely be the case for your business. So think about how you can make time and space for more conversations in your schedule, I promise it will pay off.
