On May 30, 2024 we’re organising the second private Executive level event: Blockchain for Banking and Finance industry in the beautiful Centre for Contemporary Art DOX in Prague.

4x panel discussions, 4x speakers per panel. No media, no recordings, invitation only and everything in native language [po česky].

It’s both! Some financial institutions start with various “crypto wrappers” such as ETN, ETPs, ETFs likes, while others would require direct infrastructure e.g. custody, exchange, payment rails, etc. And let’s see what the Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) framework will look like..

Who is the audience?

#1 Bankers, asset and wealth managers are the primary audience. The functions such as innovation, digital, product owners, investment products, technology or private banking. We also invited a few guests, former bankers. 

#2 Industry service providers such as but not limited to: integrators, lawyers, regulators, blockchain experts, consulting, IT companies, capital providers, auditors and the likes. The secondary audience is also key for the industry to move forward.

We’re happy to see all Your interest, 100% of the 150 invites have already been allocated to pre-selected and specific entities.

We both appreciate the quick responses and also fully understand the decision making in large institutions. The interest is high since the topic is very, very complex and ambitious. It’s about the right content for the right people at the right time. It’s not about the “highest” caliber of the attendees. Guests’ interest, curiosity, business objectives and desire to learn had been our Guiding Principles.

Well, why we’re doing it?

The reason is twofold: we conducted a specific due diligence of the Blockchain for Banking & Finance industry in Central and Eastern Europe in 2023 and found out - the demand is slowly increasing. However there is no single entity to cover such a complex topic and end-to-end delivery. The best industry players know this as coopetition: getting the best entities and experts under one roof with carefully selected subject matter experts. It’s not only tech related, far from it.

Why now? The time is now!

The talent, the knowledge, the capacity is scarce. The regulation is getting less and less ambiguous. The clients’ demand is increasing. However - the table stakes and the risks are just too damn high. The decision makers won’t have it easy. I personally do not want to see my bank or my asset and wealth manager to act like a nimble startup. These institutions manage large pools of various financial assets and transactions. “Building fast and breaking things” does not work for Banking and other Financial institutions.

It’s also a celebration of both - great talent and increasing demand from Institutions that we’ve seen over the last two years.

What are we selling?

An amazing experience! Consider it as one semi-large working, learning and innovating group of people - conducted in both professional and friendly manner. There is no media, no recordings, no gotchas - we’re all in this together. It’s a unique format in the whole of Central and Eastern Europe.

No worries, it’s not the last of our events in the series of “Blockchain meets Traditional Finance” in the Czech Republic or abroad. Long-term commitment

My own personal journey in “Blockchain meets Traditional Finance” started in the first half of 2022 during the meetings in CEE  with various bankers, blockchain experts, asset and wealth managers, integrators, lawyers, regulators,  infrastructure players and capital stack providers. Over a year ago I formed a thesis:“1990s” in Crypto is Over! The rest is history. We are 100% committed. So are the organisers and I believe also lots of our invited guests.

The Future & Partners

The A27 Management Services team has already made a decision and is 100% committed to organise a fully fledged professional "Blockchain for Banking & Finance" conference in Q4/2024 in the Czech Republic.

We will start onboarding partners from June 3rd 2024 for our future regional events. We recognise three levels of partnerships - local (single country), CEE level (few countries) and supra regional level (CEE+).

We have our own internal Guidelines & expectations for our future partners. As for what types these entities may be - the examples are such as but not limited to: banking and finance institutions, various associations, regulators, integrators, law companies, accounting and audit firms, blockchain infrastructure players, capital stack providers, local communities, consulting, large scale media companies, payment providers or even a call centre or telco.

We’ll be looking for professionals, considering your business objectives and synergies and executive team chemistry.
