Achieving Maritime Domain Awareness & Enhancing Maritime Surveillance

This year, it is no secret that with the current proliferation and volume of threats in Asian Pacific waters, it has never been more important for countries to expand and maintain a robust maritime security presence. Issues such as maritime security and surveillance, counter-piracy, illegal immigration, the smuggling of illicit goods and arms, piracy, human trafficking, anti- terrorism, illegal fishing, are all pressing concerns for governments and maritime organisations in the region.

Given the current market tensions and vulnerabilities, multilateral maritime security operations are the priority of all defence organisations to achieve comprehensive surveillance and complete maritime domain awareness. Defence IQ Asia continues to work with regional Navies, Coast Guards, Air Forces, and government bodies in delivering quality platforms that allow end user interaction with solution providers as they discuss operational challenges and active requirements.

Based on market feedback that you have provided, many technology providers are struggling to meet defence government bodies on their own. This makes our conferences and platforms a key marketing vehicle to network with the actively procuring Asia Pacific Defence and Government bodies. As we continue to grow our Defence & Government portfolio, I would like to ensure that your marketing objectives are fulfilled as you consider partnering with us in 2016 and beyond. In addition, we have taken one step further by officially partnering with regional Governments to deliver quality-driven conferences.

I have earmarked a few events in our portfolio that would strongly complement your objectives, including our Maritime Defence Week this November in Singapore, which compromises of our 13th annual Coastal Surveillance Asia, 6th annual OPV & Corvettes Asia Pacific and Underwater Technology & Surveillance APAC and Indo Defence International Tri Services Forum in Jakarta.

The goal of Maritime Defence Week and Indo Defence International Tri Services Forum is to allow the entire maritime security and surveillance ecosystem achieve comprehensive maritime security and surveillance as well as to enhance overall maritime domain awareness.

Based on intensive market research, these events continue to be the cornerstone for face-to-face networking among-st the global and regional defence and government bodies. Despite defence programmes that have long gestation periods, to build a strong and capable defence force, one needs to invest wisely.
