6 years ago I was MORBIDLY OBESE-&......

.... I was not on any prescription meds for diseases related to obesity. As the mother of an only child, I heard a sermon that impacted the way I 'thought' and I made a decision to get my health in order so that my daughter would never have to take care of me for something that I should be able to control. My health...today, I work with a team of ladies and gents on the Take Shape For Life plan (fueled by Medifast) so that I can help them achieve optimal health. ONE way to stay true to the plan is to have a variety of meals for your lean and green to AVOID getting bored and cheating. Below is the email that was sent to them today....it may benefit you and whatever plan you are following.

There are quite a few ready to eat options, if you are in a crunch or you know you have a busy week ahead, in addition to prepping somethings on Saturday/Sunday you can buy some things that you can heat & eat.

Subway's chopped salads are a great go to meal, you can get them in the morning on the way to work or on your way home. Just make sure you have your own dressing or ask for the ranch that they keep with the mayo...any fat free dressing will have too many sugars and carbs. They make all of their sandwiches into salads. Stay away from the seafood or tuna bc of the mayo.

Rotissierie chickens are a hit and last for a few days as well. Dark meat is 5oz cooked weight and white meat is 7oz.. Lee's (in St. Louis) has a better flavored roasted chicken in my opinion than KFC but either one will work on the go.

CHALLENGE - What is your READY TO EAT or ON THE GO favorite meal. Please share with the team, some of us are in school, some people are working longer hours and some 'just don't cook'.

The items pictured are at Sam's in the refrigerated section (in front of the bakery) in the three stores that I have been in, along with the light laughing cow cheese and/or chicken salad....
