Yesterday, Yield Giving -- a philanthropic initiative funded by Mackenzie Scott -- announced its 361 new nonprofit grantees. Of this list, 15 local DMV nonprofits will receive a total of $27M in funding. We're excited and grateful to Yield Giving, Mackenzie Scott, and Lever for Change for this significant investment in our local community! 11 of the 15 DMV organizations selected are small and local nonprofits in the Spur Local network, which we know work tirelessly every day to improve and strengthen lives in our region. Small, local, and community-based nonprofits can drive great change forward, and we are thrilled to see this commitment and trust reflected in Yield Giving's decisions.
