Dear educators, especially class teachers, It seems that some of us may have forgotten the true purpose of the class register. Allow me to remind us once again: the class register serves the vital function of accurately recording the number of students physically present in our classroom. It's essential to move away from making assumptions when marking attendance. Before recording a student as present, ensure that they are indeed in the classroom. This practice helps maintain the integrity of our attendance records. Furthermore, it's crucial to understand the significance of the separate morning and afternoon columns. Each column serves a distinct purpose. When a student leaves school before the official closing time, they should only be marked as present in the morning column and absent in the afternoon column. This ensures clarity and accuracy in our records. Let's exercise caution and diligence in our attendance tracking. By maintaining accurate records, we not only fulfill our professional responsibilities but also establish a solid defense in case of any unforeseen circumstances. Your diligence in this matter is greatly appreciated. #teachersupport #teachers #teachfornigeria
