As we approach the year end, it's time to stop, reflect, and give. Running Ambition's Christmas Wishing Tree this year, it was an amazing experience to see everyone come together to donate necessities such as stationery, water bottles, and more to PPK Destiny. On top of that, with the help of our community, we managed to fundraise and donate to them to purchase textbooks and food to support the livelihood of these children. Along with a few volunteers, we spent our Friday afternoon meeting the kids as well as the founder, Irene, to learn more about their story and how the centre came to be. The experience was humbling and taught me to remember 3 key things: 1. Always be grateful for what you have, no matter how much or how little. 2. Always give - selflessness is not about giving up everything you have to someone in need. It is with what you have, you still see how you can help others. 3. Always persist and continue to work hard, even on your toughest days. If you'd like to help them too, I'll attach their details in the comments below!
