Just as still waters return a clear reflection, a calm mind reveals the truth. Here's a reminder: Next time you're tempted to react in the heat of the moment, take a step back. Let the emotional waters settle. Clarity will follow, allowing you to see the situation for what it truly is. Stay calm, stay clear, and lead with a vision unclouded by the ripples of anger. ð¹ 100+ Resumes Free Access: https://lnkd.in/gmZRwCsb ð 1. Senior Manager (Policy & Research) at eGovernments Foundation | Faculty Fellow at The Takshashila Institution
#hiring [Re-posting as some folks faced issues with the attached JD] Please note: You are welcome to comment or DM me with questions. Please do not send me connect requests. In the few minutes that the earlier version of this post was up, I received ~20 connect requests. I do not intend to accept any of those, and I hope readers of this post will not send new ones. Unless we are, in fact, acquainted in real life! I'm hiring for a Manager (Academic & Research Partnerships) on my team at eGov Foundation. Looking for someone with research management and M&E experience to help us build out partnerships with academic institutions, think tanks, and researchers. This role requires the ability to communicate research design and findings to audiences who may not be familiar with social science research / evaluation and impact assessment. Basic econometric and research methods training non-negotiable. (While you won't be asked to share a STATA do-file, you will be asked to read & interpret a results table. Of course, if you do have data analysis and/or visualisation skills, those are very welcome.) Ideally, you'll have some fieldwork experience yourself, or experience supervising enumerators / data collection teams. Full JD attached, with instructions on how to apply.

ð When it comes to landing a job, it's crucial to highlight the skills that are most relevant to the specific position you're applying for. Rather than listing common strengths that may not align with the job requirements, tailor your skills to match the needs of the role. For instance, if you're seeking a graphic design position, emphasizing your creativity and proficiency in Adobe Suite would be more impactful than mentioning generic skills like "good communication" or "team player." These tailored skills demonstrate your ability to excel in the specific tasks and responsibilities of the job. On the other hand, if you're aiming for a data analyst role, highlighting your strong Excel skills and expertise in statistical analysis would be more valuable than mentioning general strengths such as "organized" or "punctual." By showcasing these job-specific skills, you show potential employers that you have the necessary qualifications to excel in the position. There is no one-size-fits-all list of top skills that guarantee job success. The key is to tailor your strengths based on the requirements of the job you're applying for. So, next time you're preparing for an interview, make sure to highlight the skills that matter most for that particular job! If you're searching for your first analytics position, give yourself every possible advantage. If you're only applying to remote, 6 figure positions at tech companies probably won't land you many interviews. Instead, apply to hybrid or in person roles. There's less competition and you'll learn a lot in the company of others. Be realistic on a salary range. Sure, it's possible to start at 100k...but if that's your minimum, you'll be applying for a while. The tech sector is hurting right now, but analyst positions are open in non-tech sectors. Think healthcare, finance, education, etc. Become a SME and showcase it. What advice do you have for someone applying for their first analytics position? --- Always Be Learning! Simplifying Complex Workforce Processes for Faster, Smarter Hiring & Onboarding | Turning Job Search Stress Into Success: Resumes, LinkedIn Profiles & Cover Letters That Work.
"Entry-level" â it's not what it used to be. Have you noticed how that term has become inconsistent? What used to mean minimal experience now often requires specialized skills or previous experience. Example: 1ï¸â£ "Entry-level marketing position" 2ï¸â£ "Entry-level marketing position requiring 2+ years of experience" Which do you think an actual entry-level candidate can apply for? Or... 1ï¸â£ "Junior data analyst role" 2ï¸â£ "Junior data analyst role requiring expertise in Python and SQL" Which sounds entry-level to you? When you overcomplicate a role, you turn away the talent that should be applying. But when you keep it clear, you attract the right candidates. In your job posts. In your interviews. In your hiring decisions. Letâs redefine what "entry-level" really means. P.S. Have you ever seen an "entry-level" job that seemed anything but? Let me know! #jobtitles #workforcemanagement #contingentworkforce

6moInteresting study. The results are probably not that surprising for IT/technology, as this is one of the fastest growth areas in the UK.
