As an HR professional, one of the most frequent questions I get is, "What do people want covered in training sessions?" Everyone wants to address the topics that resonate most with their daily challenges. One of the biggest struggles people face regularly is dealing with difficult individuals. However, instead of labeling them as "difficult," we should start seeing them as people with different perspectives and behaviors. This shift in mindset can transform your approach. Meet people where they are. This doesn't mean mirroring their difficult behavior, but rather listening to understand and hear the underlying issues. When you do this, it changes the entire conversation. Making this small adjustment in how you perceive and interact with others can initiate a significant shift in dynamics. Keep the word "difficult" out of your vocabulary and focus on understanding and collaboration instead. #shrm #difficult #hr #question #clthrcoach #hrcoach

When I was Head of HR boy did I experience way too many ð¥ Pain in the HRs ð¥. I've been posting weekly reflections of my past experiences and given the responses I get, pains you share. My first post on the misguided requirement for industry experience in HR, received 125k impressions and was reposted 28 times. I think I struck a nerve. 9 weeks in and I've sadly not even scratched the surface. If you're an HR pro who's own pains are mounting, and you're falling a little out of love with the profession, coaching can really help reignite your HR spark. If you want to know how my Thrive in HR coaching programme can help, DM me to set up a call. #thehrcoach #paininthehrs
