Last week was so much fun! How was your first week of July? Caught up with an old friend who I lost touch with a few years ago. He and I go way back, before he took on leadership roles in talent acquisition. Now's he's a VP for a 10,000+ organization, with lots of hiring going on. As I was explaining the services of Impact Talent Collective, he confided that he has been using various people for similar roles for over 7 years now. He explained that some of the benefits he has gained by using fractional help is * gets expertise for a fraction of the cost * gains information from those who are most current on trends, tools, etc. * receives an independent viewpoint that helps him know to stay the course or course correct * removes stress from his recruitment team by having an outside expert handle projects I have always admired him for his intelligence and innovative approach to our craft but this actually helped to reaffirm that we are offering value to other TA teams. I was over the moon! And yes, I've been added to his matrix of experts so whenever he needs something in our wheelhouse, we'll be there. We are in the people business; relationships matter. I love to have these lasting relationships where we can pick up right where we left off, like no time has passed. And I love meeting new connections, learning about them, and seeing how I can support their goals. Even if it's simply a referral to another expert.
