I recently tried the all-hyped, newly launched Apple Vision Pro and it changed my perspective on Mixed Reality Devices! When this was launched at the Apple event last year, I had mixed feelings. I was really hoping for something smaller and sleeker, you know, something that lives up to Apple's reputation. This bulky helmet-like like device was a big turn off. But after giving it a go last week, my opinion has totally flipped. It's unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's truly unique and I admit, I'm struggling to put this into words properly. I tried opening multiple windows, trying to mimic real work setting. This device could truly turn your work laptop into a real-deal workâspaceâ. Imagine arranging and organising screens throughout your space, even if you're not exactly in a traditional room. You can walk around wearing it, deciding whether to bring your screens along for the ride or leave them in place. It feels like a game-changer! And yes, just pinch the bottom edge of any screen with your fingers, and you can literally take it with you. I also tried their demo immersive video and it's light years beyond any other âimmersive videoâ experience I've tried before. Did I feel like I was transported to completely different world with the immersive video? Not exactly. I was always aware I was wearing a piece of tech and everything felt crafted, but very well crafted. But what blows my mind is that this is just the first-gen product. Even at its "worst," it's impressively good. I feel optimistic about it and am hoping that future versions of the Vision Pro will get sleeker. I'm imagining a world where this device could become as much a part of your body as AirPods or Meta Rayban sunglasses are. What do you think would be the future of the Vision Pro? Let me know in comments. #applevisionpro #visionpro #productdesign #mixedreality #design
Imma concerned about its impact on peopleâs attention. The mobile phone as an extended body part has already disassociated us from our environment/present & ourselves.
The next versions of Apple's Vision Pro device may focus on improving its design, increasing immersion, adding more features, integrating better with other devices and services, and ensuring accessibility for all users. These changes could redefine how people interact with technology, making the device as popular and practical as AirPods or Meta Ray-Ban sunglasses. As a result, mixed reality experiences could become more widespread and innovative, transforming daily life in unexpected ways.ds or Meta Ray-Ban sunglasses. This certainly feels out of a Sci-fi movie right now.
If they some how manage to include haptic feedback and increase the battery life, it would be(more) awwwwesome.
Apple has been an innovator in tech and will continue to be. Saptarshi Prakash sir.
Where did you get to try it? I also wanna tryð¤©ð¤©
Imagine the experience of ordering food on Swiggy wearing this.
When Apple launched the Vison pro, the internet was filled with the videos of people wearing the vison pros and interacting with it using gestures and walking around in the streets. This reminded me of the time where people started wearing tiny bluetooth earbuds and when they used to be on calls, walking around the streets, that used to create big chaos to the people who werenât familiar about the device. But yeah! Anyway this generation could never experience those weird things. Off course they are all updated about everything through social mediaâs or advertisements. Talking about the vision prosâ¦The new ânormalâ has begun!!
This reminds me of retro mac. Here's a design which I created following you yesterday only. Please give your feedback Saptarshi Prakash sir. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/shivam-kumar-ui-ux-design_figbruary-mac-skewmorphic-activity-7170646409132556288-xQA3?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_android
