The Risepreneur Podcast’s Post

If a franchisee changes their signage to operate independently within six months, a robust system for managing franchise partners is necessary. Consider McDonald’s strategy: they buy land, build on it, and then rent it out to franchisees. This gives McDonald’s complete control over the franchise. The franchisee, benefitting from a prime location, finds value in staying with the McDonald’s brand for guaranteed profits. Our approach with one of our clients was different. We used a website for all orders. This online platform was key to maintaining control. Franchisees would likely only stay with us for a maximum of six months without it, as they could build up a customer base, change the signage, and then operate independently. Therefore, creating a strong control system for franchise partners is essential before franchising your business. #scale #franchise
