It's been a while since I uploaded "creating custom assemblies using subassembly composer for Civil 3D (final stage for excavation area & initial stage for embankment area). Sub assembly composer is a tool used for creating and editing sub assemblies. Sub assemblies in Civil 3D are components used to construct the geometric design of roads, sidewalks, drainage channels, or other civil infrastructure. Functions of the sub assembly composer in Civil 3D: 1. Create New Sub Assemblies : You can create new sub assemblies using this tool. These sub assemblies can consist of various geometric components such as stairs, sidewalks, or specific sections of a road. 2. Edit Sub Assemblies : You can modify existing sub assemblies to suit specific design requirements. This includes adjusting dimensions or shapes of the components. 3. Simulation and Analysis : The sub assembly composer allows you to simulate or model-based analysis of the created sub assemblies. This enables testing the performance and functionality of sub assemblies within the broader design context. 4. Integration with Main Design : Sub assemblies created with the sub assembly composer can be integrated into the overall project design in Civil 3D. This weekend was a deep dive into some hands-on projects in structural engineering- Armed with Tekla, I embarked on crafting some basic designs of structure. ð The challenge?At the heart of these challenges was connection design within the projected frames including columns,beams,rafters, and its a fundamental aspect that can make or break the integrity of a structure. ð ï¸ Alongside, I delved into standard base plate design connections of multiple codes. It's fascinating how these standard elements, needed to be looked with so much profficiency and detailing. ð The detailed final drawing for fabrication. It was about bringing a concept to life, visualizing it in 3D, and exploring every possible angle and section. The result? A comprehensive view that leaves no stone unturned, ensuring that what moves from the drawing board to the field is nothing short of perfection. #StructuralEngineering #TeklaStructures #CAD #3DDesign #FabricationDesign #EngineeringChallenges

Hierarchy Levels In Tekla Structures Drawings. The different levels of setting up the drawing properties are confusing to every new Tekla Structures user. Letâs make them clearer to understand. There are three levels on which you can change drawings: drawing, view and object level. â« The drawing level is the highest, and its properties affect the whole drawing. You can set up these properties before or change them after you create the drawing. â« View level affects only the selected view frames in an open drawing. You can access these properties when you double-click on a view frame, which opens View Properties. â« The object level settings apply only to the selected objects. You can select multiple objects at once and change their properties. Once object properties are changed on this level, they are no longer affected by higher-level changes. #teklastructures #steeldetailing #fabrication
