Where is everyone at in their careers at the moment? - Where you want to be? - Not where you want to be? ð¹ Times have changed - here are a 4 quick tips on how to best be prepared for VIDEO MEETINGS during this time.. 1. Prepare as you normally would ie. thoroughly! 2. Practice speaking âto the cameraâ - this allows you to connect properly with your audience 3. Pay attention to lighting! This is often overlooked with people often appearing dark in the foreground and bright in the background (back-lit). Purchase a cheap ring light to place on the side of your monitor that lights up your face evenly. Alternatively use a desk lamp or move to a spot in your house where you are more evenly lit. 4. Test your technology setup a few times before you start! There is nothing worse than technical glitches that slow down the momentum and detract from your perceived professionalism and capability!

I've been working with a client who is currently looking to transition into a different industry.  He has experience working in this industry, but his most recent few experiences do not necessarily align well with the roles he's interested in. I've been meeting so many of you who are going through a similar career transition, so here's what we did to help him land interviews and an upcoming final round:  ð Built out his vision for the type of work he wants to do and set guardrails for the total package he wants (role, company, industry, salary, etc.) ð Tailored his resume and cover letter to these specific roles and built out his interview story to help explain his transition ð Prepared for key behavioral and technical questions then practiced with mock interviews and tweaked his skills as needed  I saw a HUGE improvement in his ability to tell his own story throughout this process making his transition extremely clear.  His confidence and calmness while interviewing improved greatly as we attacked his limiting beliefs and fears as he hadn't interviewed in a while.  By the end of our preparation sessions, he was interviewing beautifully and could answer without any sign of nerves or lack of confidence.  I was excited to hear that in his most recent interview for his ideal role, he excelled and they invited him onsite for a final round.  It has been a pleasure to see this client's transformation in such a short period and I can't wait to hear back when he has his official offer in hand.  If you're looking for a new role and haven't been successfully getting interviews or securing offers, or if you're trying to transition into something different and don't know where to start, book a discovery call with me to discuss where you're at and where you'd like to go: https://lnkd.in/g5r4yTVB
