April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Sexual violence is a widespread issue that must be addressed. This is why organizations and community members must become equipped with the tools to support those impacted by sexual violence survivors. Join us for an interactive workshop, where we will: - Define rape and other forms of sexual assault. - Explain the way rape and other forms of sexual assault affect a person and their family members. - Discuss ways to help people who have experienced sexual assault heal from their trauma. - Discuss resources available in our community that can support sexual violence survivors. Thursday April 18th, 2pm-4pm CST Space is limited. Register today!!

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month ð Each year, 12 million people in the U.S. endure domestic violence, with devastating impacts. 41% of women have experienced this trauma, and the effects often extend to homelessness. 38% of domestic violence survivors face homelessness, and 90% of homeless women have endured abuse. These numbers are a powerful reminder of the struggles our residents face and the healing support they need. At City Mission, we're committed to breaking this cycle through partnerships and resources that empower survivors. This October, we partnered with Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA (DVSSP) to help break the cycle of abuse and build healthier lives through a powerful six-week class. âªï¸ If you missed our article earlier with key statistics and insights from DVSSP and City Mission: https://lnkd.in/eP3BbVun

Why children turn against the alienated parent | explained in layman's terms | narcissist abuse. Here's an explanation I've not yet heard, but whey you watch this video, it all makes sense with the narcissist (alienating parent), your alienated children and how / why your children are now treating you badly. We read the theoretical explanations for why alienated children turn against the targeted parent, and how the brain works. But I'm going to explain in context, to help you 'see' why and how your alienated children have been manipulated into rejecting and treating you badly. I'll be referring back to before the breakup and how you yourself, as one trying to navigate through chaos and abuse, were weaponised against the children by a narcissist. jackgoodings65@gmail.com https://lnkd.in/dWdtbfxv The UK Helpline number is 020 3778 1171 Option 2 emotional support Mon-Thur 6-9pm Visit PA Awareness for more information, Charity registration:1187738: www.paawareness.co.uk PAA Facebook: https://lnkd.in/eumSWC4W PAA YouTube: @paawarenessuk Twitter X: PAAwarenessUK https://lnkd.in/eG9KR5uF #parentalalienation #narcissisticabuseawareness #childabuseawareness

1st June is Narcissistic Abuse Awareness Day and I've worked supporting women affected by intimate partner abuse, since 2019. In 2021, we published a collection of 100 original poems and pieces of art, from members of the Women of Wisdom and Courage online community, which continues to reach women around the world. It is available globally on Amazon and many other book retailers. "Absolutely brilliant! It is a must-have for all helping professionals (therapists, social workers, teachers, medical staff, etc) to better understand the impact of narcissistic abuse from the perspective of those who have actually lived it. It is also a great resource for survivors to know they arenât alone. Imagine who you could help by sharing this book!" - 5* Reviewer on Amazon UK

Please consider donating today to create change that will improve the lives of victim-survivors across the country. https://lnkd.in/gCRhjeTM Right now in Australia - for many victim-survivors of sexual violence, seeking justice exacerbates their trauma. From the moment a victim-survivor comes into contact with the criminal legal system they are forced to navigate a system that is too often unresponsive, insensitive, and re-traumatising. Fair Agenda has a vision of a justice system that supports victim-survivors, prioritises their wellbeing, and fosters a trauma-informed approach. We are working on three ambitious campaigns to help drive progress towards this vision: 1) To remove barriers to accessing forensic medical examinations, 2) To enable victim-survivors the choice to testify in a more trauma-informed way, and 3) To help pressure governments to properly fund service supports for victim-survivors. Please consider chipping in to support our EOFY appeal. Tax deductible options too.

Evidence tells us that most people experiencing family violence will reach out to their family, friends or someone they work with first. That could be you. Ask. Listen. Believe. These 3 small actions can have a big impact. We all have a role in recognising and responding to family violence, where we live, work and play. So today, on âAre You Safe at Home? Dayâ, start the conversation. Start small, open up the conversation, listen and offer support. Fine out more: https://ow.ly/EcZo50Rz7MA Safe and Equal #AreYouSafeAtHome

It's ALWAYS time to fight human trafficking. One of our non-profit partners does this year-round. SAFE (Strategic Alliance Fighting Exploitation) is ALLIANCE of businesses, philanthropists, law enforcement, the justice system, and nonprofits who have united as a movement to combat commercial sexual exploitation in Washington state. SAFE is A phased STRATEGY that addresses the most critical needs in the fight against commercial sexual exploitation in the areas of prevention, intervention, and restoration. Each phase of the strategy is created by experts in the anti-trafficking field, including survivors with lived experience. SAFE is A FUND that receives tax-deductible donations from SAFE partners and community members and invests those funds in qualified, vetted organizations who are moving the needle in fighting commercial sexual exploitation. For us - this is our time that we support SAFE's fundraiser by doing something that we love. It's a push-up-a-thon for LRF Executive Director, John Dammarell... It could be a walk-a-thon for you. What do you love to do? Would you gather some supporters and increase awareness and the message of HOPE as we do this together? Who is in??? Licensed Real Estate Salesperson at Keller Williams Realty, Inc., and and the Creator/Founder of Best of Bayside
Did you know October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month? Despite the busy reality of running two businesses, I couldnât let the month pass without speaking up. As a survivor, this issue is close to my heartâI live with its impact daily. I didnât even realize I was in a DV relationship until I was out of it. I'm forever grateful for the community that helped me leave and those who continue to support me on this journey. By sharing my story, I hope to help others realize they, too, deserve better. We all do. ð Domestic violence, or DV, can come in many forms: physical, emotional, financial, spiritual, and even online abuse. Did you know 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men experience DV in their lifetime? These pre-pandemic stats likely donât even capture the full scope, as many cases go unreported. ð For so many, this is a daily reality, so letâs stand together to raise awareness, support survivors, and promote safe, healthy relationships. Hereâs how we can help make a difference: ð Share to Spread Awareness: Sharing messages like this breaks the silence and shows support for survivors. ð Educate Yourself: Recognizing signs of DV and knowing how to support others can help protect those at risk and advocate for change. ð Support Local Organizations: Donate to or volunteer with DV shelters or organizations providing resources to survivors. Every bit counts. ð Be a Listening Ear: Simply being there to listen can mean the world. Let loved ones know they have a safe, supportive person to talk to. ð Advocate for Change: Use your voice to support stronger protections for survivors. Contact local representatives to push for safer communities. Domestic violence is never acceptable. Letâs make a difference, promote safety and compassion, and work toward a world where everyone can live free from fear and harm. #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth #EndDomesticViolence #SupportSurvivors #MeToo #BreakTheSilence #HealthyRelationships #StopTheCycle #YouAreNotAlone #SpeakOutAgainstDV #SurvivorSupport #TogetherAgainstDV #AdvocateForChange #KnowTheSigns #CommunitySupport #BreakFreeFromDV
