Emma Thorne Lees’ Post

Time after time in working with clients I hear the fears of women wanting to make changes, but scared of what others will think: - If it doesn´t work out - If I end up looking stupid - If it is not successful - If I end up with nothing. Lots of ifs, fears and worries holding us back. I have been there too, for many years I considered making changes in my life, whether starting a business, becoming a coach, in stopping drinking and lots of fears came up for me, including what might others think of me - what if I fail, what if I make a fool of myself, what if I end up alone. The reality, as Ann Landers says above, is that people are busy with their own lives, their own stuff. And, you know what, even if anyone did pass comment, what does it matter? Whose life are you living? I got sick and tired of my own self holding me back. Time to take the reins, get support and partnership, whether with a coach or another trusted professional (so much easier than doing it alone and far more likely to succeed in my experience).  We can start by making small changes to create what you most want in your life. Make it happen! Where are you going to start? #womensempowerment #midlifewomen #midlifecoach
