Thanks to Physician Side Gigs for the opportunity to attend, speak, and participate in HLTH Inc. this year! It's been on my bucket list for conferences to attend and it doesn't disappoint! Here's a few things I've found after Day 1 1) Everyone experiences the same challenges in healthcare whether regionally. nationally, or internationally. It's comforting to know we are all looking for solutions to the same problems. 2) High level/attended topics don't get as much audience questions as I would've expected. The onus is more on you to go find that executive or leader and follow up on their experiences and talks. 3) This isn't a sit back and enjoy the conference. While there are many opportunities to do so, there is immense opportunity and you need to come in with an agenda/plan/goal to truly capture every aspect of the conference and know you can't do it all 4) It's clear physician presence isn't huge at this conference but that is changing. (I personally do not count physicians who cross-over to C-suite roles mainly because even if you practice 1-2 days max per week, you are not in the daily grind and can't appreciate the problems/solutions as those in "it" every day) 5) I've found most companies surprised at the insights of physicians. We just need more opportunities to have a voice outside of classrooms/conferences/meetings confined to the "provider" profession. 6) Great opportunity to validate your company direction and insight to pivot, expand coverage, and challenges ahead. Here's to day 2! #hlth #healthcare #psg

Physician | Founder & CEO, SoMeDocs | Healthcare Tech Advisor | Medscape Top 20 Physician Influencers
As we get set to round out our writers conference lineup (taking place live April 5-7), we have officially seated our first speaker in Private Practice 101: Starting Your Own. Congratulations to Dr. Matthew Mintz, who made the speaker lineup and will be covering creating a vision and applying it to building your practice. A little birdie also told me that we may or may not see Amanda B. Hill in our lineup⦠getting the legal viewpoints to starting a practice in there.. I was just texting with Lara Hochman, MD about the pitches that are coming in. Some great players in the field, who will make great speakers in this easily accessible virtual event. You can still buy presale tickets now, at a discount for the next two days. Grab them before the full lineup gets curated and tickets go to full price (which will still be a bargain, as this is something SoMeDocs works hard to do!!). Please note that SoMeDocs NETWORK level members get a deep discount not for joining us. Medical students who join SoMeDocs in our soon-to-open STUDENT section will also receive a discount. SoMeDocs for change! #privatepractice #somedocs #medicine #doctors #dpc #healthcare #medicalstudent #medstudent
