The aim of this campaign was to raise dog owners awareness of Carnilove's dog food through personal recommendations, online reviews and user-generated content. ð We selected people who had dogs that were over one year old from our own trnd.com platform. They received products for their dogs and to share with other dog owners. We encouraged them then to rate the products by asking for their opinion on different aspects and talk about it online and offline with friends and family. It's amazing to see our growth strategy working at Hey Pawfriends â we're tracking these milestones closely to ensure sustainable growth with a marketplace model. I'd love to share some learnings from the process too: 1ï¸â£ Be genuine and build a community. â From day 1, we wanted all of our users (including customers and pet influencers) to feel personable when they speak to us. â It is our intention to be genuine and transparent, so that trust in the platform can be accelerated. 2ï¸â£ Create value. â Beyond the transactions happening on the platform, we're communicating clearly that Hey Pawfriends is the place where we grow and learn together. â We've started to put out educational content to pet influencers, and the goal is to build a group of strong content creators. We'll start doing the same for pet brands too. 3ï¸â£ Generating new users in the industry. â One common feedback we've received about the pet influencers is that, unlike the rapidly growing pet care industry, it's niche and small. â We agreed, but we know there's a correlation between both, so we got to work. We've started to normalise the term "pet influencers" and increase awareness of it as a potential source of collaboration opportunities and even income. â As a result, we noticed pet owners started creating social media accounts for their pets and joined us. This will ensure we keep growing the number of pet influencers rather than hitting the ceiling. 4ï¸â£ Founder-led engagement. â As uncomfortable as I am being in front of the camera, it helped to escalate the trust level of our users to Hey Pawfriends by putting a face on it. How about some fun facts? ð¡A handful of human influencers registered on our platform! â Unfortunately, our focus is on pet influencers at the moment. Nevertheless, we'll keep observing this. ð¡We've advertised for non-pet category products too! â >50% of Malaysians own a pet. Pet owners are not exclusive from other consumers - there's an overlapping segment. â Non-pet brands could start thinking about crafting pet-focused solutions or strategising a marketing angle for pet owners. ð¡Expanding our efforts to other markets. â The plan was to launch and stabilise in Malaysia before we consider other markets. â However, life doesn't always go according to plan. ð A few brands we are working with have expressed interest in pet influencer marketing in other markets; we've started working on it, and will launch a cross-market feature on our platform soon! â It goes without saying, that we'll work on balancing the efforts between growth and sustainability. These all, and we've just launched in less than a month!
