The first day of RecFest USA was such a blast! The highlight was of course our panel with Tejal Rives, Farah Sharghi, and Mike Peditto where we had a candid discussion around some of what we hear every day from jobseekers and how recruiters and hiring managers can do better by their applicants. I also attended sessions around the potential role of AI in recruiting, explored lots of cool products designed to make recruiting easier for everyone, and most importantly, I got to meet people I've only known online! AI is based on a dehumanizing philosophy. Using AI in recruiting means recruiters are out of work. This is one explanation for the large numbers of recruiters out of work.
