Rewind to 2004 and the launch of our first keyboard with biometrics! ⏪👆 The Centerboard introduced biometric authentication and enhanced multimedia features. Its unique design, inspired by a sailboat’s centerboard, set new standards for keyboards.

Bloomberg's 2004 launch of the Centerboard keyboard with biometric authentication was a forward-thinking move, setting a new standard in security and design for professional tools. This innovation predated the widespread use of biometrics in consumer devices, highlighting Bloomberg's commitment to integrating advanced technology into financial services. The design, inspired by a sailboat's centerboard, also reflects an emphasis on both functionality and aesthetics, catering to the needs of high-performance environments. This blend of innovation and design continues to influence product development in the tech industry today.

What a throwback! The Centerboard was ahead of its time, blending biometric tech with sleek design—a true game-changer in 2004. It’s fascinating to see how much innovation has evolved since then, especially in user-centric solutions. As a product designer, I can totally appreciate the bold design choices that broke new ground. Who knew a sailboat’s centerboard could inspire something so iconic? It’s a reminder that even in tech, great design and functionality can sail smoothly together! ⌨️💡

I'm probably the 'million-th' person to ask, but why don't you sell these? If not for profit, you could sell your vintage ones and just donate proceeds to charity or other Bloomberg causes
