You have a difficult team member on your project. How can you manage your stress?
When I'm faced with a challenging team member, I find it crucial to first be mindful of how I'm reacting to the situation. I take a moment to reflect on why their behaviour might be annoying me. Understanding my own responses sheds light on the broader picture. I try to see things from their perspective. It's possible they're under pressure, bad day, poor health, difficult relationships at home etc.. or there's been a misunderstanding. To be honest I rarely do have issues with members of my team, but in writing this response I drew more on my interactions with border control - where I tend to get some difficult interactions! Staying composed and empathetic has helped me manage stress and remain calm with even the most difficult of people.

How can you boost resilience with physical activity?
It's vital to understand that exercise isn't just about pushing ourselves to the limit all the time. Sometimes, the most crucial aspect of staying active is knowing when not to exercise and respecting natural cycles. Our bodies have natural rhythms and cycles, and it's wise to align our exercise routines with them: Menstrual Cycle: Women may find it beneficial to adapt their workouts to their menstrual cycle. For example, focusing on lower-intensity activities during menstruation and gradually increasing intensity as energy levels rise. Circadian Rhythms: Some people perform better with morning workouts, while others prefer the afternoon or evening. Find the time that works best for you and your body's natural rhythm.
