About

I have leveraged over 30 years of experience in both the military and civilian sector to become an industry expert, thought leader, and speaker in resilience and positive team dynamics within organizations that operate in complex, high-stress/high-stakes domains.

As former detachment medic with the United States Army Special Forces, an emergency medicine Physician Assistant and former Special Operations Medical Officer with the United States Special Operations Command, I have spent more than 30 years building and leading teams that both conducted and supported high-risk/high-stakes missions. After retiring from the military, I served as the program director for Health Intervention and Disaster Response at The George Washington University and as the Senior PA leading advanced practice providers for Johns Hopkins Emergency Medical Services.

In addition to my leadership background, I earned a doctorate in human and organizational learning from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Drawing from both my professional and academic background, I have developed Resilience-Centered Leadership© as a framework for creating organizations and teams that are capable of thriving in a high stress/high stakes operational environment. I use keynote speaking engagements, coaching sessions, and customizable workshops to teach others how to apply this framework in their own organizations. If you are interested in learning more, or want to book an engagement, I would love to hear from you!
