The extreme arrogance of the #NDIABoard. No business case. But as the #EY report hints at, the total cost of this defective #Salesforce #PACE system could be in the **HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS** of dollars. AND, the #Salesforce deal ends NEXT YEAR. In my recent submission on the #NDISBill, I examined the unknown and uncapped costs of the #PACE system - and challenged the current #NDIA leadership narrative on “the business case”.👇👇👇 https://lnkd.in/dDekWjrG “From the NDIA responses to questions from the Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit Inquiry into Procurement at Services Australia and the NDIA. PACE Costs and Business Case… "The business case for PACE estimated a 10% reduction in cost-to-serve, or a reduction of 1.8M hours from the time it takes staff to interact with the former CRM. These savings are being reinvested in increased participant contact. That is, PACE reduces the amount of time that staff and partners spend interacting with the CRM, meaning they have more time to spend working directly with NDIS participants.” ➡️ Something doesn’t add up - a big problem for an “actuarial business”. Was there NOT a business case, as stated by the #EY report. Or WAS there a business case, as claimed by the #NDIA in evidence to questions from the Committee. Both answers cannot be true. Over to the #ANAO to investigate further in their audit on the #NDIABoard. On behalf of folks pursuing this story for years - through various Parliamentary inquiries, administrative processes and forums - with respect, #BillShorten is not the hero. An excellent read from the man himself Sanket Atal - MD, Salesforce India Operations talking about how the startup ecosystem in India now is very different from what it used to be a decade ago. A number of changes have occurred for the betterment of startups - a more conducive environment, access to capital, support from the Government and initiatives which are spreading this movement to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities! There's easy access to organisations and initiatives like nasscom TiE India Startup India Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and several others. Saw a post on LI where it compares Salesforce CPQ to RLM; Salesforce CPQ requires low effort to implement but high effort to maintain; RLM will require high effort to implement but low effort to maintain. So for the customers thinking of moving from CPQ to RLM, you are spending a high cost today and you will be spending likely much higher cost to move, and by the time you will be done, there might be another new name offered to you. It's time for a tailored approach to #AI regulation. I believe that, whilst AI holds immense potential, it is crucial to regulate it responsibly. But I also advocate for a nuanced approach that recognises the differences between consumer-facing and Enterprise AI. #EnterpriseAI systems, like Salesforce's #Agentforce, should operate under stricter privacy standards and corporate guidelines – which is why we have a “zero retention” policy that means no customer data can EVER be stored outside of Salesforce. But a blanket regulatory approach could stifle innovation and hinder our ability to harness AI's full potential. So, I'm comforted to see the UK government's commitment to targeted legislation, focusing on those developing the most powerful AI models. This approach ensures that regulations are both reasonable and effective. And I believe we can work hand in hand with the government to create a regulatory landscape that fosters #ResponsibleAI development, whilst also building #trust by safeguarding consumer rights and data privacy.
