Travis Stone, dietetic assistant at WVU Medicine J.W. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, almost half of all adults living in the United States have hypertension, commonly referred to as high blood pressure, and about a fifth of those with hypertension are also diagnosed with chronic kidney disease.
