When it comes to your content review process, do you know where the painful areas are? We know that benchmarks, and understanding your own organization's process metrics, are key to knowing how your process is going. But -- it's also crucial to ask your end users and content reviewers how the process is going for them and what types of challenges they're bumping up against or what type of training they could benefit from. In addition to identifying pain point, ask the team what's going well! Celebrate the wins and make sure there's general knowledge throughout the team on how your process is working and share kudos among the team. Content review is a required process for life science organizations, so reminding people of what's going well is just as important as identifying areas for improvement. How often have you found yourself reviewing new promotional content, only to find yourself sifting through redundant comments or making repeated changes? In part, this is a content quality issueâa challenge we hear from our customers and the industry as one barrier to a fast, efficient content review process. Sometime, organizations overlook a fundamental element that can significantly streamline this process: seeking collaborative input from key parties early in the content development process. Not only can this expedite approvals, but it also simultaneously improves the quality of the content. A proactive approach in involving all relevant stakeholders throughout the content creation journey helps mitigate potential hiccups. This reduces the margin for errors or misjudgments and paves the way for a smoother content review process. It's simple: the earlier you rope in your team, the less feedback you'll have to deal with in the final stages. But here's an interesting observation: Have you noticed a thematic consistency in the feedback from your reviewers? More often than not, the comments left behind tend to echo similar sentiments. By identifying these themes early on, we can adapt our content strategy accordingly to reduce redundancy and optimize efficiency. Check out a recent episode of Vodori's Amend & Progress podcast, where we cover process best practices like this and so much more. There is great fodder in here as you start to think about setting goals for your 2025 process. Effective collaboration is at the heart of organizational success, and this is especially true within life science teams. A key point of discussion during a recent podcast episode (focused on promotional review benchmarks and best practices) was about establishing ground rules within the team - rules that dictate responsibilities, communication methods, and the overall team culture. These rules should be easily accessible for everyone, promoting transparency and ensuring an efficient workflow. Such initiatives contribute positively to team performance, job satisfaction, and overall success especially in the dynamic and fast-paced life sciences sector. If you're hungry for insights about improving leadership style or team efficiency in the life sciences domain, check out the latest episode of the Amend & Progress podcast. Watch, reflect and letâs discuss: What are the ground rules in your team? How have they impacted your efficiency in the life sciences context? How much direct, hands on time, does your #lifescience team spend on your content review process? In our 2024 Benchmarks Report, we are reporting on a new metric called 'system time per piece' that sheds light on this very question. While our primary process benchmarks, like average job and review duration, focus on calendar days between key transition points in the process. These are excellent at providing an overview of the speed and turnaround time of the process. System time per piece allows you to understand active work time, efficiency, and productivity. It helps you understand how efficiently your process is behing managed. Curious what system time per piece is at your organization? Tune into our latest episode of Amend & Progress where we break down this metric and shed light on how to calculate it: https://hubs.li/Q02WlLQw0 To get the full suite of #promotionalreview process benchmarks for 2024, download our benchmarks report at https://hubs.li/Q02WlLhb0

How much time does your content review team spend per approved promotional piece in your current content review system? 2 hours? 8 hours? Somewhere in between? Not sure? In our 2024 Benchmarks Report, we are reporting on this time spentâwhich we call system time per pieceâand found that our customers spend an average of 4 hours per approved promotional piece in our system. System time per piece doesn't account for time spent outside the system on content creation and revisions. This metric not only captures the direct time spent completing each job but also the additional activities within the system by initiators, reviewers, and administrators. To learn more about this new metric and how to assess it alongside process benchmarks, watch our latest Amend & Progress podcast episode: https://hubs.li/Q02WlGb-0 You can download our benchmarks report at https://hubs.li/Q02WlyxP0
